Tua, Kyler Murray & Dwayne Haskins.

Seriously, what the heck did we do to piss off college football so much.

Can't remember a week where I"ve been more disenchanted in college football.

Seriously, invite someone else to the frickin party once in a while. Can't let a program like WSU get to a NY6 bowl, because Penn St clearly needs that game. Can't let a guy like Gardner Minshew win a Heisman, because Alabama's trophy case would just be barren without it.

Feels like the whole thing is rigged for like 10 programs and everyone else is playing for consolation prizes.

Bunch of crap. Sooo typical of those elitist snobs.
Hopefully a few folks will show up at the "coronation" with fake 'staches...

It’s not piss off college football it’s because we are a smaller part of the college football landscape.

Minshew totally deserves the invite, but when Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Alabama all won their conference with a QB they will get the nod over our guy.

Now the real problem with the Heisman is this bias, because when you look at who had the bigger impact in college football Minshew sticks out like a sore thumb.

The three guys invited have an unparalleled support structure in funding and in personnel on the field and off the field.

Minshew came into a situation that was hurting due to tragedy and uncertainty.

And he pulled the team together and rallied them to 10 wins with a fraction of the resources.

He deserves not just to be invited, but win.

The Johnny Unitias Award recognized him, it’s unfortunate that “the greatest award” fails at its mission statement.

The PAC 12 is the new WAC. No room for error and even if you finish 12-0, your wins will be diminished and someone elses losses will be “good” losses.

ESPN is in too deep. They are holding their thumbs on the scale.

If Michael Scott was smart, he would sell the PAC 12 network to FOX and give them a conference to push.

You must have Larry confused with his cousin Michael. Similar characters.

Ready for a twist?

I agree. Between basically putting up zero stats (besides ints) in the AC and the OSU kid getting to play a JV squad to the tune of 500/5, he simply got outpaced.

I don't think Tua is a candidate at all; if you give it to him the give one to Hurts as well. But that is a non starter; no way any Bama qb gets left out at this point.

We all know the impact he's had on the pulling the program out of tragedy and adversity. Do we really care what others think after that?

Dial it up and drop 600 yards passing on the Cyclones.

And have the receivers mockingly strike the Heisman pose after every.PHUCKING.touchdown.

We didn’t play last weekend. If we played, won the PAC 12 championship and Apple Cup, he may have won the thing. Heisman candidates have to step up in those games, he didn’t get it done. Love the guy, but it is what it is. The Heisman is different than it used to be. $$$$, politics, hype.

The Heisman is what it’s been for as long as I can remember. Gino Torretta over Marshall Faulk? Archie Griffin over Tony Dorsett?

The worst one I’ve only read about: Paul Hornung over Jim Brown. Hornung had 3 TDs against 13 INTs, on a 2-8 team. But he played for Notre Dame, so...give it to him. That was in 1956, so I’d say the trophy has a pretty long history of following money, power, and politics rather than performance.

Well, I love Gardner and everything he’s brought to our program. I don’t think he’s a Heisman candidate or a top-5 player in the Nation.

Would Leach be a douche if he put 70+ on them and kept Uncle RICO in the whole game? Both to pad out his stats and to make a statement to the CFP?

I wouldn’t think so. But I think ISU would think so. And probably Tyee too.

Why wouldn't he? I'm sure he's tired of losing bowl games too, there's gotta be some frustration built up.

And no, that wouldn't make him a douche. It's not his job to keep the offense from scoring.
