Neither is this offense. So far ward is not as advertised
that is what I enjoyed about de Laura. He'd go vertical frequently.Need some verticality
Ugly. 60% of the offense was receiver screens and option dive middle. The other 40% was Ward not reading defenses and running around with the ball too long. Morris/Ward looking like a piss poor choice by Dickert so far.
It's not all on Cam. The WR's sure did not help him by DROPPING 3,4,5,6 EASILY CATCHABLE PASSES THAT HIT THEM IN THE HANDS ON 3RD DOWNS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CONVERTED TO 1ST DOWNS, HAD THEY CAUGHT THOSE EASILY CATCHABLE PASSES LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE.
That was my concern with this offense VS last years offense. And on the 2 deep balls I saw, they were under thrown.Need some verticality
Maybe. But control what you can control. And the RB's and WR FUMBLING IT OVER TO IDAHO 3 TIMES DID NOT HELP CAM EITHER.
Maybe. But control what you can control.
I honestly don’t know if it is Ward, the flow and creativity of the offense just looks terrible, and that’s a Morris problem. Maybe they went vanilla for this week because they thought they could and win by 40. Maybe it was Idaho having all offseason to prepare for it. I thought this was supposed to be some highly innovative fireworks show and I saw a predictable looking display of wr screens, HB dives and backyard slop ball.
