What a great game! Nice to see Pat Chun and Rolo behind the bench for support during crunch time!

That’s how you take a rivalry personally. Love to see those guys talking smack after the game. This means more. Hope the FB team was watching and taking notes.

They really got great efforts from Bonton, Elleby, and Williams. Isaiah Stewart was held in check again getting 10 & 11 on 2-7 shooting. Reminded me of Spencer Hawes time in purple. 0-fer!

Bonton should bottle this game. He was obviously rusty in the first half and had a couple 2nd half 3s blocked but when he plays within himself he's arguably the best player on the floor for us.

Cougars played a very good first half and then went into one of those droughts that let UW erase a 13-point halftime lead....scoring only 1 FG in the first 8 minutes of the second half. I thought a huge turning point was when Bonton had his shot rejected as the Huskies had a 1 point lead and then one of the Dawgs (Bey, I think?) talked smack and got a technical. Bonton hit the free throws and on the same possession, CJ hit a 3-pointer. Bonton then hit back-to-back 3-pointers within the next minute and WSU had a 10-point lead again. Bonton's value to the team was clear tonight and Noah Williams showed why he's one of the better freshmen in the conference, IMO. His clutch free throws at the end speaks volumes about the kind of confidence he has. He'll only get better.

Nice win....as noted above, always great to sweep the Huskies. By the way, the Cougs swept the entire PNW this year....a perfect 4-0. Does that mean they get the Rick Neuheisel Championship Trophy?

Glad Cougar

Bonton tries to do too much sometimes and has bad turnovers but he also makes some incredible passes. Pollard is a warrior don’t get me wrong, but a post guy that could finish and Bonton would have 10 assists a game. He’s a fantastic talent.

It has to help that UW is hot garbage. This was not an opponent that knows how to win games. Seeing Bonton back made me miss him while we was out, have to think we pull out on, maybe two more wins if he had stayed healthy.

This team could possibly be a tourney team if Eleby stays.

Hot garbage or not...beating the Huskies never gets old. Sweeping them is off the charts good.

7-0 when you count Seattle U., UI, Idaho State.

Wins at UW and beating UO at home further devalues the precious RPI of the weasel coach at the pedophile retirement school up north.

Lies, all lies. That is the team with the reigning two time P12 coach of the year. It is unfortunate that AD Chun hired a coach in Kyle Smith that was so clearly outcoached tonight and has been all season long. Otherwise, WSU would have won easily tonight instead of just by 4.

I was pretty harsh on Bonton earlier in the season and rightfully so.

He still turns it over too much but given the surrounding talent, he has to take more risks and a lot of times they don't pay off. Defensively, though he is beyond solid.

Looking forward to another year of growth and another piece or two of talent coming down the pike. When all is said and done, we're going to look at Bonton alot like Kelati during the initial Bennett years.

Where has Rodman been?
I don't think he has an injury, but he did not play last night. He wasn't much of a factor the past 3 games and perhaps getting a healthy Miller & Cannon back pushed him out of the lineup, although both Miller & Cannon struggled last night. Smith relies on his Data Raid to determine playing time and maybe Rodman's recent slump (only 2 points in his last 5 games total) has put him on the bench for now, just like Kunc. He'll get more opportunities.

Glad Cougar

I'm sure Hopkins misses Matisse Thybulle who seemed to enjoy the college experience enroute to the NBA over his current crew. Green was so unfocused he didn't get things done in the classroom. Isaiah Stewart and Jayden McDaniels are more focused on playing in the NBA than winning college games. Despite being perhaps the most talented team in the conference UW is 3-13. It's a team that doesn't do the little things like make free throws.

It's nice for us to get a win, but let's not pretend this win was more impressive than the ASU or Oregon wins.
