This from a recruiting site article when Noah committed to Buffalo. Note the bolded statement- seems to fit with what Coach Smith is looking for:

2019 guard Noah Williams verbally committed to Buffalo on Sunday, a source told 247Sports.

The pledge from Williams, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea, came on the heels of his official visit to their campus this past weekend. Williams didn't visit any other schools.

Williams, a three-star prospect, ranks No. 220 overall in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and No. 216 in the Top247.

"Noah Williams is a long and athletic guard who can play multiple positions on both sides of the court," 247Sports analyst Josh Gershon said. "Given his impressive physical tools and he has significant upside as a versatile defender and playmaker."

"Williams is one of the top 2019 sleepers on the west and a nice late pickup for Buffalo," he added.
