So it's slow… So of course there's weird rankings and stuff. So here's one. Coaches ranking from the Power 5 Conferences. CML is #39 out of 66 coaches. Seems odd when you look at whom is ahead or behind any given coach, let alone CML. And obviously this isn't "scientific". But I will take comfort that they have CML ahead of Sark.

Coach rankings.

Seems like a fair assessment. Hopefully this is the year that Pullman is more kind to Mike Leach.

I guess we can argue about any subjective ranking, but this one jumped out at me:

30. Kyle Whittingham, Utah: Urban Meyer may have built it, but Whittingham has done a fantastic job maintaining the Utah program in his 11 seasons, and now it seems the Utes have adjusted to Pac-12 life.

I guess the guy who did the rankings has not followed the Utah football post-season...the soap opera...the staff implosion...

Dare I say "dumpster fire"?

Hasn't Utah had something like eight OC's in eight years?

Leach has not performed at the level I expected him to so far. I have heard all the "reasons" and have no wish to dredge that issue up, nor to read others on it. I keep waiting for the breakout year. I still remember the feeling when he was announced--and I remember thinking friggin 'home run!' But it hasn't turned out that way.

I'd rating him higher on the pure coaching front, but "Mr. Personality" isn't #39 on the recruiting front by any means.

I'm still optimistic, and yes I know it's a slow time of year, but I went on record I think after the Rutgers debacle asking us to put a stop to all the "oh dear, he's so quirky! Look, he's really into pirates, that's so kooky and endearing! Oh look, now he's into Geronimo!"

Let's get back to the cult of personality when we leave the conference basement (I'm genuinely happy to). In the meantime, flat out not interested in alternative rankings or alternative personality traits.

Yes the honeymoon is over and leach needs to start producing. Leach knows it and i see where a slew of offers are going out to a lot of juco players.I do not even take time to read all the odds and ends of his quirky thoughts and sayings.People want results and i think that he starts to produce wins this season. If not Moos and Leach are in for a rough ride .
