Ominous

Other board poster has said Bamba would transfer after the season. Too bad if it comes true. I really like the potential he showed this year.

If he stays he would either be the starting 3/Wing, or #1 back up at 3,Wing, or #2 back up at Worst at 3, Wing.

He is only semi behind, tied with AJ, at the 3, Wing spot. He is ahead, tied with Rosario, at the 3, Wing Spot.

At the 2, SG spot, he is only behind Noah, tied with Koulibaly.

Rapp is behind him at the 2,3 spots.

So he will, would get PLENTY of Playing time, at about 19 to 29 minutes per game, at either, both of the 3,2 spots, this season.

And Next season, after this coming season, in his 3rd year, he would probably be a starter at the 3 spot, and probably would get about 26 to 35 minutes that year.

If he leaves, he throws that away, and throws away a great chance at the NCAA Tourny.

And if he transfers, he might end up at a place where he might get less minutes then he would at WSU.

I'll take what the other board poster said with a grain of salt, so I dont know if he will transfer or not.

I just dont think it would be good for him to transfer.

If he does transfer, then I wish him luck.

I think the Text says "Control what you can Control"...My understanding of that would indicate you might want to rethink this perspective. In other words he wouldn't be getting much time and/or they might be asking him to transfer. I do concur that we should wish him the best whatever the outcome.

hope it doesn't mean a coaching change

I'd be surprised if that was the case, but I wouldn't be shocked if he looked at the depth chart and decided to move on. Too bad because I could easily see Bamba easily getting a healthy number of minutes next year.

I dont think Smith would ask Bamba to Transfer over Rapp. I think Smith would want Bamba to stay, and for Rapp to Transfer over, instead of Bamba.

Bamba is a MUCH better player then Rapp, at the 3,2 spots.

And losing Bamba at the 3 spot, would make the 3 spot much thinner.

The Depth at PG, SG, is a lot better now, then at the 3 spot.

Be that as it is, like has been said, if he transfers, then good luck to him, wish him the best.

He came in as a potential starter per Smith and then Noah did what he did. Plus, he’s a long way from home. In a year like this year that’s even tougher. We will see.

Be bummed if he left. He showed that could be a baller and there is still minutes to be had and I could see him as a starter in 2 years. Smith brought in some transfers, but it was needed. One of them will be gone after next year.

Fully expected some transfers out of that class but was hoping it would be next year. Too many players with similar abilities. Playing time will become an issue.
