One down and one to go

Guess we should get some clarity on who the other player is that is either leaving or not showing up in just a short period of time. Looks like to me the players are all gathering in Pullman for the first summer session and the deadline approaches for the portal.

What is the consensus on who it might be?

Things have changed so much so rapidly it's really hard to guage what's going on in any program. The fall period is no longer the primary signing period, the spring (spring?) period runs from mid-April to August 1 and who knows what's going on in the portal. Has anyone noticed that Flowers shows up and Jakimovski enters the portal at exactly the same time? Was it planned? Makes me wonder.

There are posts Rapp is back. Seems like the most likely would be Vova’ or Rosario but honestly I really have no idea. I still see a role for Vova’ but he didn’t improve last year. I think given time Rosario could make an impact if the work-ethic is there.

We should know soon.

When they update the roster guess we will know. Vova is a fine backup and now has quite a lot of playing experience. Wonder if it will be a shocker

Vova hasn't been spotted on campus so it's likely him. With regards to AJ, I'd be surprised if this wasn't in the works for a while.

I'm a Vova' fan. Is he going to be a "star"? In the NBA? Not likely but I love his size and the problems it causes. Like Rapp I think he "loyal" and I doubt worries about how many minutes he's going to get and over time his experience in the program would help. What you lose in pure talent is made up in a lot of other ways IMO.

All that said, you can't not take a player like Gueye who has great upside. The AJ thing seemed to drive picking up Aiken. I think the other interesting player is Ghost Roberts. Smith has known him for some time so I could see him being more impactful than it appears but he also created some roster management challenges.

I like Vova too. Great attitude. With Jackson, Abogidi and Gueye I wonder where he gets playing time.

Actually there isn't a player on the roster today or a few weeks ago that I don't like and that is hard for me to say every before. This staff has gotten some fine young men into and onto our team.

Any news on Rice or is he still finishing up HS?

A poster on brandx has said he's in Pullman. Sounds like most of the players are back and that poster has been pretty accurate with things.

Edit: Instagram story yesterday showed the WSU practice court so he's in town.
