One of the best articles I've EVER read....

Thanks for the link, '79. I actually gave them my email in order to read it based on your recommendation, and I'm glad that I did. Occasionally an east coast journalist captures some of the essence of Cougness. Usually that follows tragic events, but occasionally someone is actually on site for the sheer positive emotion of the moment during an achievement. If you take a few Apple Cups out of the equation, the only Pullman game I can really compare to this one was the Game Day stomping of the Ducks. The other two games that I'd give equal weight to were both away games; Stanford in 1971 and UCLA in 1988.

Great article.

We weren’t perfect on Saturday and we have our flaws no question. When have we ever been dialed at every position at WSU? This team finds a way to win.

That said if you aren’t on board yet with Dickert, it’s now far beyond your football IQ that’s lacking. You probably severely lack emotional IQ as well. He’s the perfect coach for WSU and for this moment in the programs history. Period.
