OOC schedule

With all the new players the cougs can have a very good record heading into conference play. The best opponent is NMSU whom they will probably twice, If they can split those two games i will be happy. The team needs to build confidence and teamwork heading into conference play.

I have heard the confidence angle and perhaps that's what we need this year. I am not saying we should play the top 15 every week but this is a bad schedule.

My feeling is that the schedule is a benefit if these kids have the upside we hope for. If they dont it won't make any difference

Seems like the schedule came out late. Maybe not but seems like it. Crappy schedule. Maybe they had a hard time to find opponents willing to come to Pullman to play a last place team. Interest in Kennewick had waned the last time they went down there but still may be ok. Why they keep courting Spokane escapes me. It only works if they have a real good team and are playing a big name opponent. Neither is the case.

They court Spokane to be able to put on NCAA's instead of having someone else do it. The Athletic department must make good money or something. Not sure why else they would ever play in Spokane.

Their biggest crowds have been in Spokane the last few years (actual butts in seats) and they’ve played pretty well. Oregon State-win, Kansas State-close loss last year. Better atmosphere than Pullnan for PAC 12 games I’ve been to the last couple of years believe it or not (though that bar is pretty low with an apathetic student body).

It is a schedule made to try and get the cougs into the NIT.That would be a boon to some posters and a disappointment to others. Kent is going to be here for at least two more years. I would like to see them in a postseason tournament.

After the Idaho blowout loss i sensed that something was wrong with the team chemistry. They would put forth concerted efforts at times against much better teams. I hope that the reports of excellent team chemistry with this team proves to be true.

Right now the CBI looks good. A couple months until we see this team. I'm always excited to see what we got.

It's good to be hopeful and I respect those who remain optimistic. But be honest, El C. How is the way some fans feel about Kent right now any different than what you felt about Ken Bone after 4 seasons? You wanted a coaching change at that point and EK's record is much worse going into year 5 than Bone's was. I know, realistically, that WSU can't afford to get a new coach right now, but there is that same disappointment in the program right now that you felt after 4 years of Bone. Probably more apathy, too. The only difference I can see is that even Kent's critics haven't resorted to calling him names (i.e., Bonehead.)

Glad Cougar

All fans have coaches they like and dislike. My point here is that Kent will be at the helm for at least two more years. WSU cannot afford to fire him.So why not hope he succeeds ? Anyone who calls a person by a nickname does so at their own peril :)

There is an old saying." Never approach a bull from the front,a horse from behind and a fool from any direction".
