.. 7 points according to Las Vegas. The Ducks beat the cougs 78-58 on their home court. Now the two teams meet in Pullman. Oregon has owned the cougs the last few years. I say take the cougs and the points but my rule is never to bet on "your team".
They have a lot of offers out and only one scholarship left. Elleby's obviously the key player you want to stay and I haven't noticed much issues between him and the other younger players. Regardless, not what you want to see as it does seem to be a yearly deal. Then again the losing doesn't help either.Kents comments after last week concern me a bit. Mainly because of the way last season went. No real excuse for the yotal collapse for 2/3 of the conference season last year after the great pre conference start. This year, a horrible start all the way until the AZ trip, now another seeming collapse. Not sure what is going on, but, more attrition after this season would not surprise me.
Elleby is a ball hog and doesn't have a good attitude. Several times tonight he was lazy and didn't hustle on transition defense after he threw the ball away. This whole program is a disaster.
Offense was totally out of control the second half last night.

A sign he's being tuned out or just done with it.Not only last night. All of the Stanford game and most of the Cal game. The whole Stanford game Ernie sat there on his stool and just watched. Granted he didn't have many options because of injuries, but that's no excuse sitting there and just watching one-on-one rat ball.
My guess is in Ernie Kent's retirement account.Maybe the Pirate knows where the scalawags have buried the treasure??
The sad thing is, even though I dont think Kent is doing a good job, I am not sure we could get anyone who would make significant improvement in any reasonable time frame, even if we had the money
Linder is interesting but it's a big jump from Big Sky to even a bad Pac 12. Given what we have to offer I think he would be a good hire. Patience is going to be a big part of any pitch just as it was with Ethridge.Go hire a coach from a small school, such as Jeff Linder. Give him like a 5 year deal, around a $1M, with a ton of incentives. Increase the base every year and tell him that you have zero expectations until year 4.

It’s definitely a tough gig in Pullman. Probably as tough as it gets and I don’t think that’s hyperbole. I’m not questioning Big SkyLinder has UNC at the top of the Big Sky. How is he doing it in terms of recruiting and what kind of system does he run? I have really only seen highlights of some of their games.A lot of good coaches came from the Big Sky. Wazzu is just a tough job. Have to fun somebody that can recruit players and develop them. Gotta find coaches who win at schools with less resources than other schools in their conference. It's not an easy job here, but if you win here you'll set yourself up for a big time gig.
And he's from Spokane!But.....but....Paul Wulff came from the Big Sky.......
