Very sad that Jabe Mullins is out. Hoping for a quick recovery.

Their wooden court looks so loud and aggressive. Very typical of the Duck's Athletic department. Unless you disagree, it's just awful to look at.

It's like they always have to make a statement to everyone and standout. Shout from the rooftops: "WE ARE OREGON". Looks just awful. Not because I'm a COUG, as I would say it if I was a duck fan.

It's shockingly bad. Interesting to see what others think, including players and recruits?

Didn’t like that call against Rosario
The targeting fouls have been going so great for the FB refs they said…hey let’s create a bullshit technical foul in basketball we can butcher for a guy who draws a charge!!

Way too many TOs and a ton of defensive breakdowns. Need to clean that up or it’s going to be a long season.

They were slicing through the 3/4 press the whole game then Oregon full court presses hard and they shart themselves. Need to make your opponent pay with easy buckets when you get pressed like that.

No matter how good a coach is, he somehow has more injury problems than any coach I've seen in decades. It's really baffling. This apparently what comes with him as coach. I have no other explanations for this injury issue. Turnovers are a problem with his teams. This is frustrating.

HAVING MORE INJURIES, SICKNESSES, PLAYERS BEING OUT FOR MORE GAMES THEN ANYONE ELSE, ANY OTHER TEAM, ANY OTHER COACH IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD, PLANET OF COLLEGE BASKETBALLDOM, IS NOT SMITH'S FAULT AS A COACH.

NO COACH, NOT EVEN EX DUKE COACH COACH K CAN EVEN SEMI CONSISTENTLY WIN UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES.

AND I DONT WANT TO HEAR EVERY TEAM HAS INJURIES, OR GOOD COACHES WIN WITH INJURIES.

EFFIN BS. NO TEAM EVER HAS THIS MANY INJURIES AND COACHES DONT TYPICALLY WIN WITH THIS MANY INJURIES.

THIS YEARS TEAM, PLAYERS, COACH GET A BIG EFFIN ASTERIX BECAUSE OF THAT, THIS

I’m sorry but we technically only had two injured players for last nights game. What sucks is both those players are significant. Jaki and Jabe, Rice and Dishon we knew were out preseason

Altho your right that Jaki and Jabe out the last game.

You still have to count Dishon, Rice, because they are INJURED, SICK, OUT, OTHERWISE WOULD BE PLAYING, etc, EVEN IF THEY ARE OUT WHOLE SEASON, ETC.

And even if you don't count Dishon, Rice, and only count others sick, injured, out, etc, EACH GAME OF THE YEAR SEASON, there has been AT LEAST 2 OUT, OR 3,4,5 OUT, OR THE WHOLE FRONTCOURT EXCEPT GUEYE OUT, ETC.

1,2,3 games, it's Diongue, an or then Rodman, in another game, an or then Mael Crespin, in another game, an or then Carlos Rosario, in another game,an or Dylan in another game, etc, in addition to Jaki, Dischon, Rice.

THAT'S 8 FREAKIN ROTATIONAL PLAYERS OUT OF 12,13,14 roster size, THAT HAVE BEEN INJURED, OUT, SICK, DINGED UP, BANGED UP, BATTERED, ETC, AT LEAST 1 GAME.

And in addition to that, some of those who have been injured, that are playing ARE STILL RECOVERING.

And in addition to that there are players that are DINGED UP, BANGED UP, PLAYING SEMI HURT, etc, IN ADDITION TO ALL of the above.

Lots of teams have 1,2 injured, out 1 day or 1 week, or 1 month, 1 season.

BUT EXTREMELY FEW TEAMS ARE, HAVE BEEN AS INJURED, DINGED UP, BANGED UP, etc, as WSU has been this season, so far.

And the ONLY teams that have had it worse, or semi way worse , is if the whole team gets in a auto or plane accident, or gets some rare, exotic disease while visiting a foreign country.

Teams as BEAT UP, DINGED UP, BANGED UP, INJURED, ETC, AS WSU are LUCKY to be 3-3 and blow out a team by 40, and often have records like 0-6, 1-5, 2-4, instead of and let alone 3-3.

If Stanford, Colorado, USC, UW, CAL, ASU, Utah, Ore St had it is bad as WSU has had it, they would be 0-6, 1-5,2-4,etc.

Like I correctly said, WSU, Smith gets a GIANT ASSED ASTERIX next to them symbolizing that take away ALL THIS HEALTH, INJURY SHET, and WSU would probably be UNBEATEN.

WSU gets a ASTERIX for the inconsistency, the losses, etc.

The only teams that could have a good season, win, loss record, despite going thru the same SHET WSU has had to deal with, and not be 1-5, etc, let alone not be 3-3 like WSU and instead be 6-0, 5-1, etc, is:

ARIZONA, UCLA, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, DUKE, NORTH CAROLINA, GONZAGA, ETC, AKA SEMI BLUE BLOOD BBALL COACHES, TEAMS, PROGRAMS, WITH 15 4,5 STAR PLAYERS,ETC.

WSU, SMITH IS THE MURPHY COACH, TEAM, OF COLLEGE BBALL, INJURY WISE.

WHO IS GOING TO BE THE DIFFERENT STARTER, KEY ROTATIONAL PLAYER INJURED NEXT GAME?

Powell?, Bamba?,

And the game after that game?

Dylan?, Gueye?

And the game after that?

Rodman?

And the game after that?

To put this all into PERSPECTIVE, DICK BENNET ONLY HAD JUST 1 STARTER, KEY PLAYER OUT, INJURED MID SEASON, AND OUT REST OF SEASON, AND THAT WAS DERRICK LOWE, AND IT CAUSED DICK BENNET TO HAVE YET ANOTHER LOSING SEASON, instead of probably winning 15,16,17 games, CBI, etc.

Since losing just 1 player did that to Dick Bennet, imagine what would have happened if Dick Bennet, or Tony Bennett's NCAA teams had semi permanently lost 2 KEY, PIVOTAL players to injuries, and had a total of 7,8 rotational players miss at least 1 game, and had other players dinged, banged, up, still recovering while playing, etc.

It wouldn't have been pretty. Dick Bennet probably would have only won 1 game all season long.

And Tony's NCAA teams would have only won about 14,15,16,17 games and CTI, CBI, NIT, at best.

But oh no, every team has injuries, and so injuries is never a legit reason, excuse, pass.

Like imagine either and No Lowe, an or No Weaver, an or No Baynes, an or no Cowgill, etc.

That team without those players in the games that they miss wouldn't have been very good, and would have been bad.

To put in perspective Oregon was missing five players for the WSU game plus two that played were day to day prior to the game. Oregon beat Villanova in their previous game with only 6 scholarship players. CAL presently has six players out injured.

Oregon is a semi quasi semi blue blood(can't remember every team that should be on above list)

They should be able to do stuff like that.

Now if a WSU type did that your point would be valid.

As for Cal. Ok, they are probably the only teams not at the Oregon level that has it worst then WSU, everybody else.

And while Cal has it worse, then WSU, while it certainly gives them a ASTERIX, even if Cal were perfectly healthy, they are probably no better then a 9th place team at extreme best.

Still they are not getting the chance to prove otherwise.

WSU if it was healthy, either didn't have these injuries, or only 1 injured in addition to Jackson, Rice, as long as not Gueye, or some other key pivotal starter, would finish with at least 19,20,21 wins, and a tied for 4th in PAC 12 finish, at best, and 18,19 wins, tied for 5th at worst.

Now with these injuries, WSU will win about 16,17 wins, goto CBI/NIT at best.

And because of that, and the injuries, WSU and Smith get BIG INJURY ASTERIX. The same kind of ASTERIX Cal gets.

Seriously among non Oregon types, Cal and WSU are among those that have had it pretty bad injury wise.

Also when you HAVE TO replace almost the WHOLE TEAM, from last season, and when your team is going thru the struggle of needing to, having to JELL, DEVELOP CHEMISTRY, LEARN TO PLAY TOGETHER, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO JELL, CHEMISTRY, NOT PLAYING TOGETHER, BECAUSE REPLACED WHOLE TEAM LAST SEASON, the LAST thing that team needs is HAVING IT AS BAD AS WSU, HAVING A LOT OF INJURIES, PLAYERS BEING OUT.

Now if WSU had this season's injuries next season, instead of this season, in middle of next season, assuming if WSU had Jackson, Gueye, Diongue, Jaki, Bamba, etc, everyone coming back, all their recruits making it in, etc, and thus have a more Oregon type of team, that has experience, chemistry, talent, depth, play together, etc, then that WSU team would, could, should be able to win despite the injuries, as WSU will have the type of team that can win 21 to 24 games, 2,3 in PAC 12, 3,4 PAC 12 tourny wins, #3,4,5,6 NCAA tourny seed, 2nd round at worst, sweet 16, Elite 8.

If WSU has that type of team next season, and if at the same time as that has the kind of injuries WSU has had this season, next season, instead of winning 24 games in reg season, WSU would instead win 20,21,22 games, 4,5th in PAC 12, 6,7,8,9,10th seed in NCAA tournament, 2nd round.

Oregon replaced more of last years team than WSU did.
Jackson’s injury is the real killer. We really needed him in the post. For all Gueye’s talent and athleticism he is not a real low post type player, he is a finesse player who thrives more facing the basket and coming off pick and rolls. He is not that good at rebounding or protecting the rim it’s just not his game. The Jackson injury has also exposed the overhyped freshmen bigs who are way farther from being ready than many of us (myself included ) thought they would be.

Again there is a DIFFERENCE between a OREGON, Gonzaga, etc, type program and a WSU type program.

Oregon can or should be able to easily replace whole team of 4,5 stars, one and dones, lottery picks, top 20 in nation recruits, players with MORE 4,5 star players, recruits, one and dones, lottery picks, top 20 players.

Oregon is NOT the standard that you judge WSU by, or go by.

Your right about what you said about Jackson, tho wrong in that Gueye is a shot blocker(not as good as Efe).

Jackson would have prevented defenses from focusing on shutting down Gueye, and Jackson is a good passer out of either double teams or when a bigger better player threatens to block his shot, and has a good low and high post, post up, inside game, as you said.

And Jaki would have also helped BIG TIME, almost as much as Jackson.

And the Freshmen bigs Diongue, Mael Crespin, would be fine as CONTRIBUTING, ROTATIONAL bench, back ups to Gueye, Jackson, Jaki, because they would have had Gueye, Jackson, Jaki to help them, take defensive heat off them, and they wouldn't have to be starters, as they are not starters, or starter worthy, and are only emergency situational co starters, if no one better is available, if they would be undersized, have to go 4 guards, if they didnt start, at best, THIS SEASON.

They are good enough to not be redshirted, and either not be, an or should not be relegated to 3 minutes per game garbage time.

They should get about 7 to 10 to 13 to 17 minutes per game, and about 11,12 minutes per game on average.

I also thought they would be better then that.
