After watching us handle them with increasing ease for the last 3 years, I really didn't get the hype earlier this year. Goes for Herbert too.
Oregon stunk in their bowl game last year against Boise St. No reasonable reason they should have been so over hyped this season. Also, Herbert may have all the physical tools but he has shown to be a mediocre Pac 12 qb this year. Glad they lost today and hope they lose more. Love it.
Whatever else happens, we all need to be big beaver fans next week (the Oregon state variety). An OSU upset of the huskies and a win for us, and we clinch the division regardless of the AC outcome.

Utah won despite missing their top 2 offensive players. The backup QB & RB were outstanding. Ducks have been incredibly overrated this year. If UW's kicker doesn't choke, Ducks would be 2-5 in conference play. OSU will give them a good game this year.

I say we all go over the the free Beaver board and give them encouragement.

They seem to be in a delightful dilemma. Fire the coach and introduce players to the fourth HC in four years, or keep him. I'm all broken up about this.
It was the right call in that the Ducks lost.
It wasn’t the correct call, but I’m okay with that.
To their credit, very few Duck fans bitched about that PI call. They rightfully have more of a problem with a defense that couldn't stop a backup QB and RB, especially when the Ducks got the lead late in the game. They have more of a problem with a DC who is paid $1.15 million a year but can't devise a game plan or adjust the defense so that running backs don't routinely get 100+ yards each game. They also have more of a problem with an offense, allegedly led by a top draft pick QB, that's seriously underperforming. I don't consider that call a bailout...even if it was a bad call. That doesn't give Utah enough credit and doesn't give the Ducks enough blame.
