has WSU winning.

Their keys for OSU to win? Stop missing open field tackles, stop the explosive plays and wait for it… Their O has to get traction…

They've basically outlined the winning combination for just about any team, playing at any time, against any other given team. True insight here but thought it interesting to see what the Oregon Side thinks of this weeks game.

Due to our past history with this staff, no game is a for sure thing.

That being said, it sure would be nice for this to be a get well game for this offense against a team that is really struggling to put all three phases of the game together for 4 quarters. I'd love to see Falk and Co drop 42 before the half and take limited snaps in the second half. It'd be great for him to have enough cushion to start experimenting with going down field and looking for options that he may not have seen before due to game situation. "Hey, what does it look like if I audible to this against this D?"

But then again, they need to go out there and worry about executing and being the best at their jobs and everything should take care of itself.

I like your last sentence best. Right now, lets hang 71 on them and never take our foot off the pedal or something outrageous like that. Lets get to the point where we are practicing perfection in game situations before we start experimenting… JMHO.

And as soon as I say that, I can see an experiment I'd be OK with. The only way I'd say we should experiment is giving Bender some game time. But man, I think we'd have to have an incredible lead before we do that…

BUT... we have a very young QB and he needs all the reps he can get, he needs all the confidence he can get, he needs to be able to tear another team apart and know he's the leader of it. I don't know…

I guess I'll trust CML on it, IF we get to whatever point. I keep going back and forth on the idea...

Don't limit our history to this staff, no win at WSU has been a sure thing. OSU will show up ready to play, this has been a weird series for the past several years, the favored team seems to play poorly, in addition to that this staff has 2 -12 record in pac12 games in three years at Martin Stadium, this of course is the first Pac 12 home game of the year.

They beat the U in 2012 and Utah in 2013, no conference home wins in 2014, so they need to right that ship quickly and start playing well at home again.

Last time we had a sure-fire win and a chance to get the reserves some field time was Portland State. Just a gentle reminder (or is it a blunt one?) but one that should give us all a whack upside the head. Win first and then we can consider our options.

Yeah, I'm not talking about running the oopty-oop, I mean getting further into the playbook than he's been before, whether it be due to snaps or comfort level.

Get a W. That is enough for me....
The more I research and look into this game and all the chess pieces, the more I hope our team stays focused. OSU is not someone to look past, right now. They are wounded but those are sometimes the most dangerous animal.

Their only losses are to Michigan, Stanford, and Arizona. Two of those teams are being talked about as potential top-4 teams at the end of the season and the other one played in the Pac-12 championship game last year. They also have handily beaten an FCS team and beat a decent MWC team (SJ State) pretty soundly.

Yes, they got killed by Arizona down in Tucson, but I think people are reading way too much into that. Oregon State isn't a great Pac-12 team, but it's one that was picked by most to finish ahead of WSU at the beginning of the season and it has a running QB who can cause problems for WSU. I'm not looking for a cakewalk at all.
