I don't like either program but it looks like their Maui game might go down to the final possession. GU up 89-87 with about 45 seconds to play.

I don't know who I dislike more. Zags with 4 straight free throw misses. I don't watch a ton of GU hoops but I haven't seen Few quite this animated on the sideline. Both teams really want this game.

It was a good one. GU wasn't even at full strength missing a big but probably more importantly Josh Perkins had a good game.

Hard to not enjoy this Zag team. Norvelle is really fun to watch, SJSU transfer Clarke is a good one to go along with Hachimura.

They compared Duke's Zion Williamson to Lebron. I see more Larry Johnson with range to 3.

Am I the only one who thought the refs completely swallowed their whistles the last four or so Duke possessions. They drove to the basket time after time, only to be turned away (hammered?) by several Zags, and nary a peep from them. And it's not as if the Zags had been playing foul-free before, just, miraculously, in crunch-time.

Ah the poor dukies did not get their usual favorite calls. I did not see anyone "hammered" just some good defense by the zags They stuffed emm but good. I really enjoyed it

As a basketball fan, I really enjoy watching Gonzaga play ball. Lord knows we don't get anything close to good ball during the Kent era (and personally I like Ernie alot - he just shouldn't be a head coach at a Pac-12 university).

Few is annoying as hell and Tommy Lloyd never shuts up. But they keep bringing in the ballers and coaching them up. There's plenty to dislike about Zag basketball - big timing WSU and Idaho in scheduling, their bandwagon legion of fans, etc - but from a strict basketball standpoint, they are about as good as it gets at the college level.

It doesn't bother me a bit seeing them be successful. It shows just what can be accomplished over time with the right coach in place and proper allocation of resources put into the program. Lord knows our previous AD failed miserably on both counts. Hoping Chun takes a more global view as his administration unfolds. Beasley rocking is at good as it gets.

Sounds like a bunch of typical Spokane folks to me. GU gear on for basketball season and Coug gear on the rest of the year.

Yep...I have to respect what they have done. I never imagined I'd see their sustained success when they first started being a force back in the 1990s. It is a great story.
