It's a new day dawning.

I harkon back to my coaching days - it wasn't unusual for opposing coaches to try to recruit my guys to their teams during the post game handshake line.

So, why are we surprised that the culture now is 'I'm special and want to take my talents elsewhere"?

They'll find out sitting on the bench with a superteam isn't quite as fulfilling as actually getting minutes and going to battle with one's homeys.

Get used to it. Keeping my fingers crossed Rodman and Bamba don’t get happy feet or that Efe or Jackson don’t think they are being recruited over or think they can make a run at a title someplace else.

I already extremely logically explained in another thread why WSU is not going to lose its CORE of players.

You should go back and reread that, what I said.

Efe, Dischon are NOT going anywhere. The New players are GUARDS.

And a GRAD TRANSFER BRIDGE BIG, will be gone in 1,2 years, leaving Efe, Dischon 1,2,3 years of MAJOR MINUTES(ABOUT 29 TO 39), per game, per year.

Rodman, Bamba is, are 3's,WINGS.

They are ahead of AJ, Rapp, Rosario.

Rodman, Bamba are going to get a LOT of minutes at the 3 spot.

The NEW players are PG's, SG's, NOT 3's, WINGS.

And even if 1 of them did leave, altho wouldnt be awesome. If lost Rapp and either Rodman or Bamba, this team is a NIT/NCAA tourny team, even without 2 players, either Rapp and Rodman, or Rapp and Bamba.

And losing Rapp and maybe 1 other is worth it as long as get a player the CALIBER of Tyrell Roberts and Michael Flowers.

Also the team is BOUGHT IN.

So you dont need to be a worry wart about what if the CORE leaves, because its not likely to happen, despite what happened to Ore St.

What happened to Ore St, is the OUTLIER NOT the norm.

Now if Kent was still coach then WSU would lose 3,4,5,6,7 players or CORE players to transfer portal.
