Interesting article from NY Post about what Musk can possibly accomplish if Trump were to name him as the Efficiency Czar or whatever it is called. I think everyone here would root for him to be successful, as only 23% of Americans now trust their government.

Elon is brilliant. However, he scares me way more than Agent Orange. He could either make things better or way worse.

But I do need the Cougzone interpretation of what Forrest Trump said about having nine guns pointed at Liz Cheney?... Just hyperbole? Taken out of context? TDS, no big deal? Trump being Trump?

He sure has a weird way of bringing people into the MAGA movement.

Within limits, yes. Some of the statements he and Trump have made about things they'll remove and gut will have serious consequences that neither of them acknowledge or likely understand. But...some increases in efficiency and elimination of redundancy and overlap would be welcome.

I said the same thing about Trump when he was running the first time. We saw how that turned out…I’ll pass. Elon can stick to making shitty cars.

Stop being an idiot Ed, its embarrassing.

Anyone with an IQ over 60 knows exactly what was said and implied.

Obviously, you’ve never owned a Tesla.

There is a reason Teslas outsell all other ev brands combined.

I don’t and probably won’t. And you’re right there is…First to market and marketing.

I’ve got a good friend who’s been in fleet services for years. Trump and musk supporter btw. Owns Tesla stock. Their customers have all sorts of issues with those cars, some models more than others. Well documented that as beautiful as the appearance of the cars are, they are literally made of plastic on the interior. The general quality is shit for what it could be.

If you love em good for you! Own a fleet of em! Go Cougs!

Actually, that is not currently true (link below). Nor was it a year ago. Closer than I'd like, but not true. As if the truth bears any resemblance to your BS, Uber. Note that this list does not include all the minor brands that contribute to the 346,000 total.

So how is this gonna work when drill baby drill becomes President and rolls back any incentive for electric cars or electricity generation (i.e. cancer-causing wind farms)?

And that Tesla "truck" is the stupidest-looking thing I have ever seen. How much hay can that thing haul as compared to my Chevy Silverado? Saw one in YakiVegas the other day. Started laughing.

And good thing the deep state is watching out for consumers (typo in the headline - 2.2M, almost ALL Teslas, not 22M):

And the list goes on and on.........

A) this is from 10 months ago
B) it was for "incorrect font size for a warning light". Its a font on a computer screen that got rolled out via software update.

It doesn't matter, we are screwed no matter who gets elected. I doubt Elon will be around, Kamala will win, we heard about the red wave at the midterms and that never happened. And there won't be a red wave this time. If Kamala loses the democrats have no one to blame but themselves. They should have told Joe he was done a year ago, and had primaries that meant something with real candidates. Had they done that, they would have had a much better candidate than Kamala. I just hope whoever wins, does so convincingly, like the World Series, I didn't care for either team, just wanted it to end quickly. Unfortunately, if this election is close and gets hung up in courts and accusations of fraud, it will get really messy. Some schools in NY are giving the kids the day after the election is they are "distressed". No wonder this country has so many problems.

I guess there it is since high school Uber said so. I have zero problem saying what scares me about Musk... Starlink .
too late. That ship has sailed.

I saw a starlink re-alignment over the summer. Had no clue what it was. Thought wtf did I just witness? I got online and soon found out what it was but then had a “yeah, but Still!” moment.

I don’t know what to think of Elon other than to continue to be amazed by his accomplishments. He certainly is an original

Another "they're both the same" bullshit post. Lazy-ass, cop-out argument.

For fvks sake, they are not both the same. Are they each the best candidates that could be put forward by each h respective party? NO? But one is by orders of magnitude better than the other. Just like Nickki Haley and any other of a number of GOP hopefulls would have been - by an order of magnitude - better than Trump.

We are more likely screwed if Trump is elected. That's all I have to say about that

Because the $42 billion that was wasted providing zero internet access to rural areas is so much better than Starlink?

Starlink is amazing technology. In fact, this post was made via a Starlink connection. Beta user since day one and it is awesome.

Yeah dipshit - add up the numbers. You said Tesla outsold all other EV brands combined. They did not.

It is amazing technology. What happens if Musk takes it down Someone like Ukraine who depends on it?

And btw your assertion that if we made everyone have ID to vote that accusations of voter fraud will be in the rear view mirror. What happens when one election worker passed a ginger mint to another. Or Hugo Chavez is switching votes . Doesnt subside until Forrest Trump is out of the spotlight .

Tesla = (86,801 + 58,423 + 16,692 = 161,919)units sold Q3 2024

All other EV’s combined = 122,171 units sold Q3 2024

161,916 > 122,171

OK, I believe you loyal as I always trust retired government accountants. Let me fix the record.

It has been decreed that henceforth One Hundred Twenty Two Thousand One Hundred and Twenty One Shall be Greater Than One Hundred Sixty One Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen.

Fixed. Now we can agree loyal 🍺

b.b.b.but what if Elon Musk decides to take the technology back? What then?

What doesn’t scare you? Or maybe I should ask, what has tell Joe and Mika told you not to be afraid of?

Biden runs circles around his staff. Joe Scarborough said so, you can definitely believe him. He’s never lied about anything.

What was "implied"...
He meant to say CougEd’s daughters instead of Liz Cheney.

Your daughters are joining the Ukraine foreign legion, right? They must care about democracy and fighting tyranny as much as the man that raised them. Or is that something the kids that grew up in, let’s say Omak or Colville have to do?

Yeah, spent his career in fleet seen every car there is, hundreds of customers, hundreds of thousands of cars, probably doesn’t know anything more than the average person.

To each their own whatever makes you feel better.
You’re reaching into Ed territory with anecdotes about what someone in the biz told you. Just saying.

Nice insult. I did not work for the "government" BTW.

I can't explain the dueling numbers, although the Cox Automotive (you pointed to them as your source) article below says that Tesla dipped under 50% in Q2 and Q3. Their total of 346,309 EV's sold differs significantly from wherever your number came from. So I will agree that the numbers are fuzzy. Will be interesting, as I stated before, how Tesla and EV sales in general will fare when drill baby drill reassumes the Presidency and guts all incentives for electric vehicles and electric power generation (i.e. cancer-causing windmills). Isn't that really what we should be conversing over?

They are far from both being the same. They are the same in one respect only, both are unqualified and unfit for the office. If this is the best these two party have to offer, I can elect to not participate.

You need to spend less time watching The View.
