So, do you condemn Hillary's 5+ years of public statements about the 2016 election, lies about collusion, and blaming perhaps everyone on earth except herself for losing?

I'm curious how "Personally some could argue Biden won Florida, Texas and North Carolina" is supposed to mean? Are you thinking 700,000 dead people in Texas voted for Trump?
If Hillary supporters had stormed the capitol, killed people (including police), and planted bombs, then you would have a point.

Instead you have more BS, because you are defending treason. You are an anti American POS, and deserve to be treated as such.

So Hillary can lie with impunity for years, adding fuel to the fire that exploded on January 6. Good to know.

You chose poorly.

All anti-ED stuff aside......do you believe that the actions by Trump supporters on January 6th were appropriate? What do you believe the goal of the people breaking into the Capitol building was?
Of course I don't think it was appropriate. If Biden's/Obama's mis-sayings can be construed by the media as "taken out of context" then the same standard should apply to someone like Trump. I don't know if his words helped fuel all that nor do I know if all the people who were ginning up that crowd were actual Trump supporters. The goal? Again, I don't have a clue what some of those morons were thinking but there seems to be a mixed bag of what the media wants us to believe and what actually happened. That and the dim-witted Dems trying to over-sensationalize it in an attempt to divert attention from the serious issues that are occurring under Biden's watch.

Please …. One (the insurrection against the capital ) and whatever you feel about Biden can be in two separate tracks.

I can say Biden does a crappy job and at the same time have critical analysis what happened on January . Listen closely to trumps words , his sons and Rudy. They had 60 days to have a rally, they chose that day for a very specific reason .

You are the one defending the actions of people attempting to overthrow a free election in the United States of America. You may want to sit this one out, traitor.
To say I am not a big Dblitherson fan is an understatement , but you are painting a broad brush and is very dangerous . Instead of making an accusation you can always ask .

For most Americans, the failures and inadequacies of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are annoying. Many of us feel that those flaws don't justify the support of Donald Trump. Be a Republican all you want......just don't be a Trumpster. That man is not worthy of your support.

Playing "what about" and using Hillary as your justification for Trump and his actions is, to quote Trump.....sad. I constantly see posts by my friends judging the millenials and saying, "When I was a kid.....". Well, when I was a kid, I remember hearing, "two wrongs don't make a right" and for some reason, people think that Hillary's existence is justification for the GOP turning into a self absorbed, greedy, hypocritical group of people that don't care about the truth and really only care about #winning and #triggerthelibtards. Trump has perverted the GOP into a caricature of itself.

I don't like Hillary Clinton. I think Bernie is well meaning but a total fool. That doesn't mean that I should support a narcissistic tyrant wannabe like Trump just to oppose them. Pick a different hill to die on. History is not going to look kindly on Trump or his supporters.

It was on live TV you gaslighting, anti American POS. FOH with your "blame the media" nonsense. More complete horseshit from the QAnon morons. It's embarrassing if you actually have a degree from WSU.

He has made his defense of the events on January 6th very clear at this point. He is an anti American POS who would prefer a Trump monarchy to the democracy our forefathers fought and died for. He can rot in hell.

Until he talked about Hillary I don't think he made a comment either way. And not sure what Hillary's lies has to do with what they were hoping to accomplish. And the aftermath is very clear what the Republican party took from it... thus allowing in Georgia anyone Kemp appoints if they feel the election and ballots had a problem to look at the perceived problem and make a judgement call...IE removing a true election and election integrity. The fall of our democracy... that I will agree with you on.

One person over country, or better put, their own political careers over country. Hell if these senators and congress men and woman were asked to storm the beach at Normandy they would look like John Candy in Stripes handing over their weapons and we would be speaking German.

What Jan 6th white washing would be like FDR and congress saying it was the Germans who bombed Pearl Harbor, and actually they didn't mean to, a bomb was accidently dropped when they were doing some surveillance. We believe that because Hitler said so and it was an accident. And no one died in Pearl Harbor...anything else is fake news.....

Not only that...when the snap back happens, and it may be 10 years from now white America is not going to like it. Eventually no matter how much legislatures try to suppress the vote, the y eventually won't be able to run from the numbers. And the minorities who are affected by these policies will have a long memory I suspect.

Not sure why the republican party chose not to reach out because black America from what we saw in South Carolina and Biden picking a conservative democrat, they don't want what many of the ultra progressive's are selling.

How about you don't assume anything. I know it's hard for you, but you can try harder.

Here's a suggestion- quit watching CNN and MSNBC. They're the ones focused on Trump because it drives their ratings, bigly. Really bigly. Try independent and centrist news and journalism.

We already know you've been indoctrinated by MSNBC and CNN. You don't have to keep proving it.

I don't have cable......so I don't watch CNN or MSNBC. So....when you are going to be going on about assuming things......you might want to take a long, deep look in the mirror and reflect on yourself first.

I'd have you list what you consider "independent" and "centrist" but I'm afraid that I'd end up snorting pop through my nose and I don't need that kind of stress in my life. What's kind of adorable is that before the election, Trump was whining that CNN and MSNBC wasn't covering him enough.

That is pretty funny. I would bet MSNBC would not favor voter ID as I would . That is one example. I don't need CNN or MSNBC to look at what Georgia did to see they are looking at controlling the election.

But since you are the smartest one in the room, or you give the air you think you are, why do you suppose Georgia legislature has the ability to convene an "arbitrator" of their choice to oversee election results and has the power to make changes? I am all ears? Isn't that what the Sec of State was there for, an elected official. What do you believe would have happened if it was a Kemp appointed person instead of an elected official taking the call from Trump? I bet Georgia would have found 11800 votes.

Oh my..., Someone needs warm milk and a nap. Did you have to go to therapy the four years leading up to Biden being elected?

Why is because the Constirution provides election laws are governed by state law.

Question for Ed- why isn’t the DOJ suing blue states like Colorado with more restrictive voting laws?

Ummmmm......no, I don't. My subscriptions on Youtube are pretty limited. Hoovie's Garage, Car Wizard, AngryJoeShow and NSPE (they never post anything...but a nerds gotta nerd). I get a kick out of watching some of Motorweek's "Retro Reviews". I'll watch SEC Shorts on occasion. I watch Youtube to be entertained....not to get my news.

Again, you love to claim that I'm assuming things or projecting.......but here you are.......projecting and assuming.

So tell us, what makes you parrot MSNBC and CNN talking point?

Logic, objectivity, rational thought, no allegiance to a political "team". Anyone with a shred of intellectual integrity knows that Donald Trump was a terrible President and an even worse human being. He was recently ranked the 4th worst President in our country's history and that isn't going to change much over time. Listening to that orange stain speak for 30 minutes is all you need to do to realize what an insecure, terrible person that he is.

FWIW, not everything that he did was bad and I'm glad for a few of the things that he did, but his ego, combined with his divisive style of leadership, counteracted most of the good things he did. He was right to go after China....but he picked trade fights with Canada, Mexico and Europe that have created much of the inflation that we are seeing today. Steel and lumber are dramatically more expensive because of Trump and we gained nothing from those fights. He was right that we need to protect our southern border more, but his wall is the stupidest idea of his many stupid ideas. It can be defeated by common handheld tools and homemade ladders while having a negative impact on the area's ecosystem. Racist fools are the only ones that still support that wall. Unfortunately, Democrats, being guilty of stupidity, have created a situation that is worse than where we were in 2015 before Trump took office. Trump's tax breaks are great if you are pumping out babies. For an aging upper income couple like my wife and I with kids in college, we get to pay more taxes than before even though we are far from "rich".

Trump leads by pitting people against one another rather than seeking compromise and cooperation. He tried to run our country like a business where victory is a zero sum game and the goal is to vanquish those that aren't 100% aligned with his vision of success.

lumber isn't expensive because of Trump, unless you're blaming him for companies shutting down during covid. mills furloughed people, got behind and never caught back up. now that the prices have skyrocketed, they are chosing to take advantage of the artificial shortage and price hike - the capacity is there. my best friend is management at Boise, he gave me the scoop.

you make what seem to be several well thought out points and blow it up by talking out of your ass about lumber prices.

and all your points about divisiveness can be applied to Obama as well. As a Black president he had the opportunity to bridge a huge gap but instead fanned the flames of the race war we're currently in. Hilary fully intended to carry the torch of identity politics with her "deplorables" rhetoric.

I find it interesting that you hold Trump to a higher standard than the politicians that he wanted to "drain from the swamp", since he pretty much played the same party politics the left and right have been playing for years. I get it - you have nothing better to do than fixate on "cheetoh bad" because your neighbors are racist and you can't stand "hur de durr, Trump", but what amazes me is that you don't see that for every "hurr de durr Trump" there's at least one equally abhorrent " hurr de durr Clinton/Biden". And if you think YOU'RE surrounded by them try moving to Portland. Yet I simply don't have enough time or emotional energy to sit around stewing about it like you do Trump - it's amazing to me how much time and effort you put into bashing a man who - I'm betting - had little to no real impact on your life personally. It's also amazing to me that you are the same obsessive zealot as the Trumpers, just in the opposite direction, but either can't or won't see it.

Back on topic -

here's the statement from USATF :
"First and foremost, we are incredibly sympathetic toward Sha'Carri Richardson's extenuating circumstances and strongly applaud her accountability - and will offer her our continued support both on and off the track.

While USATF fully agrees that the merit of the World Anti-Doping Agency rules related to THC should be reevaluated, it would be detrimental to the integrity of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Track & Field if USATF amended its policies following competition, only weeks before the Olympic Games.

All USATF athletes are equally aware of and must adhere to the current anti-doping code, and our credibility as the National Governing Body would be lost if rules were only enforced under certain circumstances.

So while our heartfelt understanding lies with Sha’Carri, we must also maintain fairness for all of the athletes who attempted to realize their dreams by securing a place on the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Team."

Must be a bunch of old racist white men traitors.

Well if you think our constitution runs better with a non elected official who is appointed by a governing body who can determine the votes from a state, more power to you . Not sure that is what the framers of the constitution had in mind.

I guess I am not all that familiar with Colorado’s “restrictive “ voting laws . I think there might be some nuance there but I am willing to learn why you think they are “more “ restrictive ? And did they become more restrictive after 2020 election ?

Trump instituted a 20% tariff on lumber in 2017. You are correct that there are other factors driving up prices right now, but he set the ball in motion by instituting the tariff. In defense of Trump, Biden hasn't cancelled the tariff and there were even talks of pushing it back towards 20%. Same goes with steel.

You say that Obama fanned the flames of the race war and while there is no doubt that he didn't make our country better in that regard, most of the discussions of the Obama era were about eliminating inherent unfairness in our systems, reducing police violence against minorities and generally treating minorities and LGBTQ people better. You know.....treat all people like human beings. You would think that the GOP, given it's supposed foundations in biblical teachings, would embrace treating others well. Instead, the response has been, "if it's gonna cost me money or inconvenience me, f those n words and queers". If he fanned the flames of a race war, it's because he asked people to help others and people don't like to feel like they are sacrificing to help others unless it's their choice to do so. FWIW, I don't agree with many of Obama's policies....but that doesn't mean that I should automatically support Trump just because he is different.

With regards to holding Trump to a higher standard, I would say that given that Trump has suggested that white supremacists have a point and the way that he emboldens people to act violently towards others makes him different than any other leader we've had. Liberals are guilty of many of the same things that Trump is guilty of, but because of his "Go big or go home" attitude, he fosters a level of hate and violence that dramatically exceeds anything that I've seen in my 50+ years on this planet. In the past, there have been politicians on the left and right that have said or done things that were out of line, but Trump is the first President who places himself above our country and constitution. He is willing to destroy our democracy to further his own cause.

I will never feel bad for being Anti-Trump. He is a terrible human being and an embarrassment to my country. My sole bit of consolation with Trump is knowing that in 2016, Trump did not win the Kansas Republican Caucus. Everyone here knew what a piece of feces that the guy was. Unfortunately, Republicans in Kansas have fallen for his BS that the only way to "own the libtards" is to support Trump blindly.....and a lot of people do so now.

You asked why, and the answer is the Constitution provides for states to make their own election laws. You might want to run down the "non elected official" thing too. Non-elected officials are who do the work of counting, disqualifying, verifying, certifying, etc. They're generally volunteers. But you're good with the ID requirement, I assume.

Go ahead and do your own research. You can take a look at Delaware's election laws too if you like. Please tell us if you find Jim Eagle.

of course it is, why would Ed be any less full of shit about this than anything else?
Let me get this straight....I actually agree with you that lumber prices went up for several reasons. Canada shut down mills in 2019 because of lack of demand. Covid hit, low interest rates, high demand and prices went up. But coming down 40% means the mills are producing more and lumber prices are softening. Nothing like you calling yourself full of shit by disagreeing with my agreement with you.
