And go get Minshew. This is a dream scenario type situation but think about it for a moment. Trade Wilson to Philly in exchange for lost 1st round draft picks (thanks Schneider!) and Minshew. Dump millions in salary cap, go get an O-Line, couple CB's and a D-Coordinator who knows how to game plan because KN Jr is absolutely terrible. Fill a couple other needs like replacing an aging Bobby Wagner and a fierce pass rusher or two.

Never happen, while I do believe at least one, either Wilson or Wagner is gone. This will not happen for many reasons, 2 main reasons, Philly isn't paying for Wilson and Hurts, and I doubt Wilson wants to go to Philly, he has a no trade clause, so he can pick where he goes. I love Gardner, he is a good backup QB in the NFL, he doesn't have the arm strength to be a starter, well according to the "experts"

Wilson, at this point, gives Seattle the best chance to win next year. I think he stays. I think Wagner's contract gets reworked....

Wagner is guaranteed like around 3.2 million next year, his salary is 20 million +, so trading him would free up 17 million in cap space, or he defers a major portion of his salary to open up cap space. One of those things have to happen, and I do think Wilson is back next year.

The NFL is driven by generational QBs, and the Seahawks have one. I don't personally care for the guy, but he's insanely talented and you simply don't win in the NFL without a top 10 QB, you just don't. While I think Minshew is a top 20 QB, I'm not sure if he could carry a team to the SB.

That being said, during the SB run RW spent a lot of time handing the ball off to Beast and making possession throws or big shots over the top, both things GMII can do.

I have a few responses to that:
Doug Williams
Jeff Hostetler
Mark Rypien
Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Joe Flacco
Nick Foles

All of them won Super Bowls. Four were Super Bowl MVPs. None likely would have been considered Top 20 QBs in their time. Four weren’t even the starter in the season where they won Super Bowls (two didn’t start until the final weeks of the season).

With the right team, the QB doesn’t need to carry them. Seattle isn’t that team right now, but if they freed up the money they’re giving Wilson, they could be again.

I agree would be a good move but they’d need to get a third team involved I think Eagles will try to win with Hurts and not a guy making $40 mill on the backside of his career. Funny thing about Minshew and Wilson is how bad both teams screwed it up when they should have dealt them. Hawks should have last offseason just like Jacksonville should have before drafting Lawrence. Both waited to long and Seattle will get way less when they do deal him just like jax.

Schneider was way overrated as a GM who made a few good mid round picks. He’s been below average for several years now.

Wagner is definitely getting cut and perhaps get a restructured deal, sign elsewhere or hanging up the cleats.

Nobody is trading for his contract and Seattle needs to free up that cash.

The Minshew and 'lack of arm strength' always cracks me up. He has a crap ton of games and film under his belt proving he has plenty to get the job done.
