This is kinda how I feel with the NIL and the transfer portal.

Had some good Bird discussion ina previous thread and these keep showing up on my YouTube feed so thought I would share.

He was bad ass.

He was fun to watch! Think I saw him dunk on Kemp and X-Man a couple times in there when he wasn't a Sonic. Didn't the Sonics pass on drafting him when they chose Danny Vranes instead? Memory id foggy that far back, but I was never very impressed with Vranes.

I was mostly a boxscore and radio sonic fan when Chambers played (no cable tv for us). I didn't realize he was such a two handed dunker.

Never quite understood why Chambers didn't get more recognition. Talented player. I always wondered if he wasn't a chemistry or locker room fit? He was a force offensively.

Ed was kind enough to take me to the 87 All Star game in the kingdome when I was 14. Chambers got the MVP. Dude was a baller.

I also don't know why he didn't get more credit. Maybe it was because he didn't like to play defense or was considered selfish. I remember the later narrative.

Irregardless, there weren't many people who dunked on more people then proceed to shoot 3's on them than Tom Chambers

Never passed.....

But he had the perfect "small forward" to play along side him in X....he was really the power forward in a small forwards body, and Tommy Gun was just the opposite.
