Two plays from the scrimmage highlights video elicit a "bet that hurt" reply. One is of Ahmir Crowder, a true freshman d-lineman, tossing Caleb Perry like a rag doll behind the LOS. Another is of Robert Valencia peeling back on Tristan Brock in a classic pancake that would make an IHop cook blush.
Also noteworthy is the penetration by d-line newcomers Misiona Aiolupotea-pei and Jesus Echevarria. Here's hoping they continue to progress, but I might add that it appears the big plays made by d-linemen came against the 2nd and 3rd-team O-lines, which Leach blistered for their timidity.
