Conference isn’t making a mandate and isn’t getting involved. I’m sure a legal expert can weight in on this, but if Inslee mandates it where state employees have to be vaccinated like California what will happen then?
there will be an exemptions, as per always.

WSU's policy is based on guidance from DOH. Any "mandate" will have giant exceptions that swallow the rule. The vaccines are not fully approved by the FDA.

Since Democrats enjoy watching their cities being burned to the ground by activists, maybe we will see a LOT more of that if it ultimately does become a mandate? We're gonna see legal cases that make Roe v. Wade look like baby food.
Already massive protests in Europe over 'mandated' vaccinations. The politicians in power are going to be lucky if it's only legal opposition once that wave hits the US.
Just remember, riots are the language of the unheard, so that makes it ooooooookaaaaaaaaay.Since Democrats enjoy watching their cities being burned to the ground by activists, maybe we will see a LOT more of that if it ultimately does become a mandate?
Very hard to avoid the eye roll about only 40% of NYC teachers being vaccinated after everything in 2020.That’s what I figured. But it comes across really tough. I saw New York is requiring this but as of right now only 40% of city school teachers are vaccinated. It’d be fun to watch the governors office and their union fight it out.
this whole teacher thing throughout the pandemic has been ponderous and infuriating.Very hard to avoid the eye roll about only 40% of NYC teachers being vaccinated after everything in 2020.
Teachers union in this state demanded and got access to the Vax a month or two before the great unwashed. (Unspoken was the idea in person teaching would resume sooner)this whole teacher thing throughout the pandemic has been ponderous and infuriating.
Here you have 18 year olds working on the front lines at drive throughs and grocery stores, but 30 year old teachers are scared for their lives to attend a socially distanced class with masks. I mean, the absolute terror some of these guys have is inexplicable... and then you have the NY teachers with that vax rate. I guess they're just afraid of anything/ everything?
* apologies to educators, I know I'm painting with a wide brush here and there are exceptions, but after my district cancelled most of the end of the year stuff (graduations, etc...) and THEN had their own awards ceremony for tenure, etc... I was more than a bit frustrated and confused at their decision making.

Wasn’t accuracy in communications important to you guys? That’s what I figured. But it comes across really tough. I saw New York is requiring this but as of right now only 40% of city school teachers are vaccinated. It’d be fun to watch the governors office and their union fight it out.
Facts are important; thanks for sharing those. Seriously, I appreciate having good info and am not a fan of false numbers or other erroneous facts being propagated. I was just responding to the figure given, which definitely seemed at odds with much of what I've seen on social media and elsewhere on this issue for the past year and a half.Wasn’t accuracy in communications important to you guys?
That 40% figure is pulled out of your asses or just confusing it with the low rate for law enforcement. Nationwide It is ~80% for teachers. probably similar in NYC, but more than a couple months ago it was over 60% among all school staff there with staff other than teachers around 35%.. Article indicated nyc staff close to city average of 71%, but appears to include staff like police who are at 40%.
And the biggest teacher union for NYC supports the vaccine mandate.
Oops.
