Per OSU's President: it's rebuilding the Pac-12....in full motion.

This means they've received a favorable report from the attorney's. Rumor is that the conference has a 2-year grace period to rebuild expansion to 8+ conference members. That would allow the P4 to have a transitional year next year and then begin adding MWC programs at a reduced buy-out rate in 2025.

Perhaps more importantly, it allows the P4 to be selective about who they invite to the party. Make a pitch for SMU, maybe another Texas/SW team or 3? I'd look hard at North Dakota State. Get busy courting Gonzaga and the WCC programs about a potential partnership.

Maybe the NCAA will give them grace (although I haven’t seen any sign of that). Recruits won’t. Instability will destroy recruiting. If kids don’t see that we have a plan in motion, they’re signing somewhere else.

Big12 wants WSU and OSU, not so sure this rebuild is gonna happen. ACC 1 vote from taking Stan/Cal. We are on the brink of totally dissolving the Pac. Big12 commissioner recommended adding the 2 NW schools.

Haven’t seen this ? Big 12 wants WSU and OSU ? Given the revenue problems, staying in the oc 12 or going to the big 12 would be better than the m w c .OSU as a,program is on the rise, surprised they have been left out so far.

Lately, I've felt that we're going to do anything and everything to stay out of the MWC. I truly believe that this will happen. I just can't see our program accepting the setback, and going down to a G5.

if that happened how would dissolution of PAC work?

I don’t know, but staying in a rump pac or going to the big 12 sounds infinitely better than going to the m w c. I would imagine if wsu and OSU leave that’s the end of the pac. I still think WSU has a pretty good history and brand as a P5 team, I’m not as down as some others on here. I think you have to fight like hell to stay afloat.

This right here. Once you throw in the towel and join the MWC there’s no going back. You’ve got to scrape and claw to keep the Pac alive or sell your worth to a Big12.

The Specific teams that they need to try to get are:

1. SDSU 2. SMU. 3. Memphis. 4. USF. 5. BSU 6. Gonzaga. 7. Tulane. 8. Fresno St. 9. UNLV. 10. Utah St. 11. Rice. 12. CSU 13. UTSA. 14. APPALACHIAN ST. 15. NDSU. 16. AIR FORCE. 17. WYOMING. 18. HAWAI. 19. NEW MEXICO. 20 NEW MEXICO ST. 21. TULSA. 22. ST MARY'S. 23. NORTH TEXAS. 24. NORTHERN ARIZONA. 25. NOTRE DAME(Probably would say no to PAC.

Start at top of list, then move down if teams higher up on list say no.

I would like it if Big 12 invites WSU, Ore St, and they accept, etc.

But what CREDIBLE either unofficial or at least semi official source said that either Big 12 was going to take WSU, or that commish Yormack recommended that, etc.

Also I'm not sure that Ore St publicly announces that they are going to seriously try to keep PAC 4/12/X together, and that they going to rebuild PAC, etc, if Big 12 invites were either forthcoming or at least semi likely to be forthcoming.

I haven’t seen anything about the big 12 either. Oregon State is #18 and a really solid program right now, this has to be a real kick in the balls for them and I’m really surprised they are being left out Along with WSU.

What it probably is, is that Big 12, Big 10 commissioners, Presidents AD's, etc, have heard POOR OLE LITTLE OLE WSU AND ORE ST, and only selective remember Ore St being a LOSER for about 20 to 25 to 30 years between about 1960 to 1990, and the PAUL WULF years, and Pullman, Corvallis, etc, instead of remembering PRICE, LEACH, WSU ROSEBOWLS, WSU COLLEGE GAMEDAY, WSU having the 4th best TV viewership ratings in PAC 12, WSU being a NATIONAL BRAND, that TOP 25 in TV ratings, viewership, tied with MIAMI, and that Ore St is ranked 18, and that Smith building Solid program there, and Ore St building, built, renovated Ore St STADIUM, that WSU has been to 7 straight bowl games, and that Dickert has back to back 7 win seasons at WSU, etc.

They don't want to travel to WSU, Ore St, Don't like the weather, have grudges against WSU, Ore St, Don't like that WSU, Ore St BEATING THEM, Don't like that WSU, Ore St, is not being a PATSY that they could beat up on.

They think that WSU, Ore St, is THE SMALL guy, and DONT think that the SMALL GUYS WSU, ORE ST, should be P5, win, etc

They think that WSU, Ore St, is going to be a DRAIN on their conference, financially, reputation, etc. They think that WSU, Ore St, will EMBARRASS the conference.

They also think that both WSU and Ore St will ruin the ranking, RPI, etc, of their conference both in football, basketball, etc
.
Basically it boils down to them only remember the past, and not acknowledging the present, and the future.

I’ve heard it from people who know what they are talking about and continue to be right on these matters, especially on the Big12/10. ESPN needs West Coast timeslots. They need them soon, OSU and WSU are the best option. SDSU has a 34m buyout. B12 is dying to start a production studio to sell content to Amazon Prime/Max etc. Guess who has one. All that needs to happen is Cal/Stan find a spot.

And where is the link for this news? Nothing personal chugs, but it annoys the F out of me when posters throw this stuff out with no links, no backup.

They met yesterday (B12), and their commissioner recommended WSU and OSU as best options for western time zone and expansion to 18. 10 game conference schedule. Ability to produce and sell games to Amazon prime/max/apple etc. SDSU/UCONN next options

I'll either believe it if, when it happens, an or when, if there is a credible source saying it will happen, an or when, if it gets publically announced

Still not finding any information to substantiate this
