Another very good game for our field general.

11 total tackles (7 solo), 2 pass deflections, and he should have been recorded with a .5 sack.

That's 36 total tackles in the last 3 games, averaging 12 a game. He's also had 2 sacks (should be 2.5) and 2 pass deflections in that span.

If our D Ends could figure out how to contain and set the edge he would have had 22 tackles and they would have had 100 yards less rushing.

Our D Line play is nauseating at least we have Pelluer and Woods to clean up some of the mess.

Absolutely contain was bad. How many times did Jefferson get outside with out D end too far inside? They had some good rushed up the middle, but the explosive runs were outside.

As poorly as Comfort has played, our DEs make him look like an Outland award winner. Ogwayu was supposed to be D.D.esque and has been like a fart in the wind. The other DEs... who? I don't even know who they are because they're never on TV or the radio for making a tackle.

What Claeys is doing with a veritable "who the f is that" defense should win him every coaching award available, because arguably we should be giving up 60+ a game with this rabble.

Hope we have some JC help over the next two years - a NT, DE, and some secondary help for sure.

Comfort is an enigma to me. He has great moments, but he is nowhere near good enough to make big plays on his own. The kid has heart and is obviously trying to make the most of the time he is getting. I'm glad to see him having fun out there and getting the chance to be a starter on a 5-1 team. Hope he gets to say that he started on a team that went 9-3 (or better).

This is the biggest load of horsesh*t.

Comfort is the guy who forced Jefferson’s fumble.

Silvels is leading the team in sacks with 3.5 and in tackles for loss at 4.5. Ahead of Pelleur in both and you don’t even know his name. He’s just a sophmore

Ogauyo is injured.

We are #34 in the country in tackles for loss
We are #15 in sacks in the country.

We are #16 in in total defense in the country halfway through the season playing 3 Pac 12 opponents including USC.

Jefferson rushes for 5 yards a carry against us yes, but he only got 138 yards and averaged 8 a carry against ASU and put up 250 yards.

They ran some gadget plays and got some big plays, but still got clamped down in the second half.

Teams are averaging 2.9 yards per rush in the 3rd quarter and just 3.7 in the 4th.

In the second half we are allowing just 3.3 yards per attempt. To let you know how good that is, if we played against the run like we do in the second half the whole time we’d only be allowing 128 rush yards / game.

Ahead of the likes of UW/Norte Dame/Texas and even Alabama who allows 4.2 yards per rush.

Comfort can hardly play 1 gap, let alone 2. I already gave him props for punching that ball out, but he did it from behind as the play already passed him. Not hating on the kid, but if you think our DL is something to thump our chest over you're delusional.

Silvels numbers, for leading the team, are not great. Not hating, but propping them up like they're all American is bogus. Glad he's leading the team, but that's not saying much considering.

We're 5-1, and I couldn't be happier about it, but it's no thanks to the defense, who can take the SC loss on their shoulders alone.

Yeah the blocked field goal or the fact the refs missed the targeting call is the defense’s fault in the USC game.

Do everyone a favor and learn the player’s names before you post or do you need the magical box in your house to tell you what to think and who does what mr. oblivious?

Oh... I get it.

You didn't like my Mr Obvious post, so now I'm on your personal hit list. Lucky me.

Tell you what. Roll your ass down here, bend over, and I'll do you and everyone else a favor and pull that rather sizable stick out of your ass.

Lighten up, Francis.

While there is certainly room for improvement by the defense, I have to say that I am pleased that they are exceeding my expectations this year, given all the talent that left. RESPECT !

Hahaha I could care less what you say to me, what I care about is if you say some stupid sh*t on here. Dissing on Taylor Comfort who takes double teams a lot but still is being effective is not smart.

Comfort has 3 tackles for loss already this year. You know how many Eukale had last year total? 3.5

Know how many sacks comfort has his year? 2 do you know how many Eukale had last year? 1.

Do you know how many Solo/assist tackles Eukale had last year? 8 solo 9 assist.
How many does comfort have in just 6 games? 5 solo 7 assists in just six games.

Comfort has more sacks already, is just .5 tackles for loss less than Eukale’s season, and is just 3 tackles and 2 assists from matching Eukale last year.

Comfort is on pace to finish with
6 tackles for loss
4 sacks
10 tackles with 14 assists

Eukale had
3.5 tackles for loss
1 sack
8 tackles / 9 assists.

Should be pretty obvious if you are paying attention to production in regards to who he replaced.

Holding a marginal NT up to another NT - your logic is truly dizzying. You've reached Ed level depths with your attempts to sound like you know wtf you're talking about. ( Now I get to wait 10 minute for Tron to find some out of context stats to support whatever argument hes making...)

Yes marginal NT who the Browns signed
http://nfltraderumors.co/browns-sign-seven-players-to-practice-squad/

I do know what I am talking about, you don’t even know the player’s names.

Taylor comfort is producing at a higher level at his position this year than a guy who was signed by the NFL.

The guy never got a chance and walked on paying his own way for 4 years and this year as a starter he is producing more than the guy before him. That’s a fact. A verifiable data supporting fact.

Your opinion of him is nothing but your own delusional uninformed thoughts.

That sack and forced fumble escaped you, I see. I think he made those big plays on his own.

Tron is 100% predictable when baited into a flame war. It's like arguing with a grade schooler.

On the contrary when you post stupid things unfounded by actual facts and only supported by the head up your own ass I will be sure to point it out.

In terms of schooling I do my research to form opinions.
