As much as the system is rigged and we got screwed by our conference and CFP committee, we need to be excited to be playing in the Alamo Bowl and get a win, dang-it. Yes, it would have been great to be dealt an NY6 game...likely a much tougher match-up, with a win less than certain. This match-up for us should be in our favor and put our chances of winning much greater than 50/50. Let's end the season with a victory! Like others have mentioned, that should land us solidly in the top 10.

Alamo Bowl is fine with me at this point. But nobody better overlook Iowa State. It feels a little bit like Minnesota in San Diego to me. Hopefully, the Cougars will be supremely motivated and will play well. That's all I ask.

I am excited to cheer for the Cougs any day any opponent any bowl, but....
I am not happy about getting screwed over because we are little ole WSU from the dysfunctional Pac 12.
If it was Kentucky from the SEC they would get to go. If it was Oklahoma State they would get to go to a NY6 bowl.
If it was Michigan State they would get to go.
If it was North Carolina State they probably would get to go.
But basically somehow a 10 win team from the Pac 12 is lumped into the same catagorgy as a 10 win team from the AAC or MWC.
That’s how far the influence of the Pac 12 has fallen.
We apparently have been put in Boise State distinction and that is trash.

WRs are going to be better - mostly same guys but a year extra in the system.
Borgs and Williams are back as RBs
QB is the thing to get worked out but we now have 3 or 4 guys who have been in the system long enough to prove themselves.
Things are looking good.
