First, if Rolovich feels that JDL is our QB of the future......fine.
However, I see a kid right now who needs to improve an awful lot before I consider him the anointed one. As I said in an earlier post, who you play should be based on what you want out of the kid. I was really disappointed to see JDL throw incompletions when there was running room available last night. I don't know why he did that, but based on what I've seen from his arm so far, if he ain't running a bunch, he isn't worth it as a starter. I love a lot that I see about JDL, but he is not so perfect that he is irreplaceable.
As far as I'm concerned, we need to see more of all three guys in the next couple games. Most of the Pac-12 bowl games have been cancelled so we aren't really playing for anything but next year at this point. JDL may be the future, but I don't see the point in getting emotionally invested in any player....including the starter who is 1-2 and hasn't proven anything yet other than that he is elusive in the pocket.
