Yesterday was the last day to pull your name out of the draft and return to school. It was a long shot Gueye would return but Powell I thought we had a good chance of returning. 2 spots now open, not sure who is lined up for either spot but looks like Spencer Mahoney is in the mix for one spot. It looked like he was slotted for Gueye’s spot but maybe it was Powell’s spot and something else was already in play for Gueye’s spot.

It was curious that Powell stayed in the draft. School must not be his thing. Plus, he has dreamed his entire life of playing in the NBA while he only thought of playing for WSU a year ago. I think it is an extreme longshot that he ever plays in the NBA, but good luck to him.

Mahoney would be a very good pickup this late. A big man with some size that can play. He is not the Justin Garcia's or Pavel Rower's of years past.

Powell’s another big loss. That makes 4 starters gone that could have returned (not including Jackson). I hope Powell received good advice because it doesn’t seem like he has a good path to the NBA at this point.

Smith consistently commented he thought he would come back. This is similar to Roberts last year. Hopefully we can fill the spot at the same level again although it’s a month later in the process. No idea what’s out there. If not, Mullins/Houinsou go from key to need to take a big step up.

I've dreamed of bedding Sandra Bullock too.

My odds are about the same as Powell's sticking in the NBA next year.

NBADRAFT.NET put out its updated mock draft today and neither Gueye or Powell are projected in the first two rounds. I wonder if Gueye hurt himself by not playing in the combine games?

Curious, would you pick Gueye in the first two rounds?

I wouldn't, and I wish him the best.

Personally I don’t see Gueye as an NBA player, he has done enough that he will get a shot to prove me wrong but I just don’t see it. If I was drafting in the late second round and he was available, I might take a chance on him but guys like him are a dime a dozen around the NBA.

Lots of mock drafts. I see Mo listed from 47 to 57 in several.
