Pretty cool

That is a good stat to remember as we ponder why the football team doesn't move move from good to great. It wasn't long ago when things were bad, really bad.

I like our chances against Cal and Zona a lot more now than I did when the season began.

Comical. Well the entire stadium influenced the non-targeting call on Gustin...along with blowback from the league on USC starting the season 1-3.

The PAC 12 lost its integrity when it came to officiating long before Logan Tago tried to hold up and not hit an awkwardly kneeling USC QB.

Who the F was the third party?
I don’t give a shit. Give em both a personal foul. Cougs still get the ball 1st and goal at the 10.
What about the Gustin launch? Same third party? There was a lot more outrage on that missed call.

I agree that the Pac-12 lost its integrity a long time ago, but it blows my mind that you still stick with the thought that Tago was holding up. I think the helmet to helmet contact was incidental as he was going for the football, but that doesn't change the fact that you can't knock over a QB who's kneeling on the ground when it takes you 3 steps to get there to knock him over.

Porter Gustin's hit was clearly targeting but at least it happened when he was within one step of the QB and not running around the mythical block of an offensive lineman from two yards away. Gustin absolutely should have been penalized though. He's the poster child for thugs everywhere.

what is concerning is that there is some “mysterious third party” that is the ultimate call and not the refs. Wtf is that about.

I think we all agree that this whole situation makes the Pac-12 look bad. Some VP shouldn't be calling in and providing input, even if it did benefit us in this one case.

I guess we will discuss this in two threads. Here is the key information:

"The replay report obtained by Yahoo Sports states that “unfortunately a third party did not agree” with the call. That “third party” was Pac-12 general counsel and senior vice president of business affairs Woodie Dixon, Yahoo Sports sources have confirmed. Dixon oversees football for the conference but is not a formally trained official."

General Counsel = lawyer.

As Don Henley so eloquently put it: "Let's kill all the lawyers, kill them tonight."

I don’t think anyone is saying that Tago wasn’t roughing the QB. WSU was and deserved the 15 yard penalty they got.
