Preview: Cougs vs Bruins

UCLA shot lights out when Cougs played them in Pauley. If they’d shoot more to their norm and Gueye is back we have at least a punchers chance

Gueye will probably play some but he is far from 60% and unlikely to improve in 24 hours

Wish I was as optimistic. UCLA is playing their best basketball of the season, and rest day vs. back to back for WSU; particularly with Gueye not 100% is going to be a huge factor.

I think UCLA wins this one going away.

UCLA hasn't been a good matchup for the Cougars this year (USC has) but you never know for sure. The last two conference tournament champs have had to win 4X in 4 days pulling off upsets along the way. Sometimes teams that have a guaranteed spot in the NCAA tournament don't bother to play their best. One can hope that's the case tonight.

Glad Cougar

IF we play good D.
IF we block out & rebound.
IF we don't let UCLA get much in transition, which is where they are most dangerous.
And IF we pass the ball effectively while on offense...
Then the game will be within 10 with 5 minutes left.

IF on top of that we are hitting shots, then anything can happen. If not, we'll foul down the stretch and lose by 15 or so.

I think Noah is going to have a good game. Just a hunch. I will settle for him staying out of foul trouble (especially those idiotic offensive ones when he swats at the defender) and hitting a few shots. Both he a Jaki need to hit a few baskets to take some pressure off the guards and the bigs. Especially need Noah staying in the game to keep tabs on the likes of Juzang and and the other midsize forward (name escapes me). Jaime Jaquez?

Add in Mo hitting some 12' jumpers against their spread zone.

Apparently, no Mo. I believe I just saw him walking along the baseline but not taking part in warmups.

He's out. I doubt he'll play in the Pac-12 tournament even if we're able to advance.
