Pulling for the Horned Frogs Saturday - TCU to Honor Leach

TCU had better keep doing what they've been doing and not choke! Don't know if they have a "horn froggin' it", but carry on.

Harbaugh having to break out all of his "good" plays just to get out of the semi's.

If they do manage to get out of this game with the win, they are going to get slaughtered by Georgia.

Hail to those motherf…… hail to those big co.. suckers. Hail. Hail to Michigan the cesspool of the land.

Exactly what I was going to say. Love the Rocky Long 3-3-5. Dude's a stud.

The DL is blocking for the LBs lolol Pressure all day on Mich qb.

Wanna know if you have a smart DC???? If he can’t get a pass rush he has the DL block.

Ward couldnt figure that out. Cant wait to play ASU.

Exactly. The space reasoning makes sense.

That’s definitely targeting in the Pac-12. Thought it was at full speed too.

On the replay, maybe he’s saved because initial contact wasn’t with the ball carrier’s head? That’s the only explanation I have.

Head or neck🤷‍♂️

I think the hit wasn't to the head or neck area (or, at least, that was an aggressive interpretation someone could make). Either way, what a game.

Michigan really got screwed over with the TD catch that was ruled not quite a TD catch. They fumbled the ball with 1st and a half yard to come up with nothing. Big turn of events. Unfortunate for Blue.

There's a Facebook post touting the number of bowl appearances by SEC schools. When B1G and Pac-12 fans point out that our conferences didn't allow the runner-ups to play in bowl games until the 70's, the SEC douchebags show up frothing at the mouth with their, "SEC! SEC!" BS. I'll be rooting for TCU regardless of their opponent next week but I'm hoping for a SEC-free final.

As an SEC grad I don't relate to the douchebag comment, but even without the runner-up factor, SEC has gotten an extra OOC game to pad their record, and until recently didn't seem to play big P5 OOC games that risked their record - so getting to 6+ has been easy, esp in the era of bowl proliferation

Until recently, too, they were the biggest conference with 14 members. Not that tough to get a lot of teams in a bowl when they almost all schedule 3, if not 4, cupcakes out of conference and then just need to go 2-6 or 3-5 in SEC play to make a bowl.

When it comes down to it, Georgia, LSU and Alabama are the only SEC teams that are consistently good...but when you hear SEC douchebag fans talk, they all act like every team is national championship caliber. The SEC has figured out the formula for tilting the scale and after a couple decades, it's been effective.

And as you said, the extra OOC game virtually guarantees an extra seven wins in the conference and over the course of 20 years, that's an extra 140 wins to brag about.

I dislike the SEC just about as much as anyone...but I was arguing this point to my buddy who went to Free Shoes University and he pointed out that many times these schools play a top 20 program for one of their games...and I had to concede he made a valid point.

Georgia played Oregon this year, for examples.

With that said, I would prefer if they played 9 conference games

Don’t forget though that the ACC also enjoyed the extra OOC for a long time. Might have helped FSU & Clemson a bit for awhile but that conference is just so consistently bad, the “extra XYZ wins” ain’t exactly a turnkey formula.

I also just think - if you’ve ever lived there - the talent density in the SE is at least 10x greater than on the west coast bc it’s part of the culture in a way that it’s not elsewhere, so way more interest —> participation —> competition —> talent.

I am not exaggerating when I say, my first year at Georgia, I’m sitting up in the 200s or 300s, and a 16-year-old (ish) girl is there with her dad who knows the 2 deep on OL. She’s an extreme example but these people aren’t hard to find the SE. In the NW, a 16-year-old girl could probably go deep on Instagram celebs but NFW do they grow up with football other than fake Seahawks fans.
