exactly and the safety they just signed is a good tackler and aggressive as hell against the run, put en out there. Its better than what im seeing on the field
If you want a shot at 4 years of playing time and game film for the NFL, maybe you'll give WSU a look??? The defense has a lot of opportunity.
you know Biggs, I just looked at 24/7 and the list of 3 star players in California, given a population of 40 million people...…….there are literally 300 3 star players on there, many with non p5 offers ranked ahead of those with 1 or 2 p5 offers. Plenty of defensive players on there that look like they could help the defensive line, and some that have committed to san jose st or fresno state that could probably be nabbed.
If you are talking iowa or Arkansas with 3 million people...….the top 5 players are 4 stars, the top 15 players after that are 3 stars...…...well they are completely picked over. But California...………...plenty of room there to pick off good players, many who don't have "impressive" offer lists. California is probably the biggest difference between texas tech and wsu for leach imo.

The West Coast is the most poorly evaluated and recruited region in the country. Part of it the high school game isnt as strong as other places. You have kids that either show up out of nowhere and impress or show up as a star and flounder.
If you wanted to have a great college program on the West Coast, it starts with finding the right kids for your scheme and having an Olympic lifting coach running your strength program.
There are a couple of Canadian kids I'm hoping to land. Leif Magnuson and Wesley Bailey. I'd say they are the kinds of under recruited kids without P5 offers we want to get, but each has a handful. But if they had spent more time in the states, they'd be 4 star recruits with 20+ offers.
California is unmined territory, Texas on the other hand...…...you have UT and TAMU along with Oklahoma taking the best recruits. Then you have Arkansas, Oklahoma State and LSU depending on texas to build their rosters. Then you have Baylor and TCU taking some good players, Houston getting a few. Iowa thanks to Hayden Fry has a texas pipeline.

Its insane. There are high schools with 290, 300 boys out for football. And they all grind. You have kids squatting 550 as juniors. Football is just a diff animal.
