I'm surprised by just how slow hoops recruiting has been recently. We dont have many known offers extended and we have one spot for this years team and three scholarships coming open next year. Plus the usual attrition will probably open up another one or two.

Wonder when the staff extends more offers.

The cougs have eight known offers out there. They are High schollers -6'7, Quincy Guerrier, 6'6 Josh Green,6'8 Akok Akok,6'0 Scotty Pipper jr,6'5 Jamon Kemp.6'0 Pierre Cockrell, and 6'6 Walter Talley. They also have an offer out to 7'1 250 pd juco,James Hampshire, who may be able to reclassify to 2018. There are probably other jucos who they are in contact with. The reorganized staff is much more active than the past 3 years. One hopes that they can land a couple of HS studs this recruiting cycle.

But of those recruits you list, the Cougs only really have a shot at Pippen, Cockrell, and Talley. We probably could get Caleb Grill or Keshad Johnson too. Bottom line is I'd expect them to be more aggressive on the trail. Not a criticism, just surprise over how few offers we've extended.

Yes i had previously listed Keshad Johnson as he has been offered. Caleb Grill i am not sure of.The listing is of 8 offers and perhaps 2 others. The staff has been close lipped and i am sure there are others. We know of one other juco who has been offered. Basketball recruiting is sometimes not what one expects as some recruits spurn offers from bigger "elite" schools because of relationships with coaches. That is what the coaches need to do in establishing relationship with good players. The recruiting is picking up and we will see how the season plays out.

The cougs have offered 6'4 PJ Fuller 2019 from Garfield, he is a 4 star with several P 5 offers including udub Also 6'5 Jamon Kemp from Garfield was offered . The cougs also offered G Marjon Beauchamp from Garfield a 2020 product.

That is a very good questions. The highly rated players have several offers including Washington which is like a home town school. Will they have loyalty to Haskins ?

WSU also offered 6'7 Tari Eason from Garfield s 2020 class, Thet seem to be zeroing on Garfield. It will be interesting to see if the cougs can make real inroads there,
