• The cougs are out recruiting They have several targets and seem to be aiming for big men. The cougs are still after J Rann Brooks a 6'9 PF 4 star, from the Seattle area.. They also have offered 6"9-220 HS Austin Johnson from Georgia. They have recently shown increased interest in 7'0 210 Jacob Tyron, juco from Ca. He is a qualifier with 3 to play 3. He averaged 15 pts 10 rbs and 5 blks as a high school senior. He is averaging 11.8 pts and 4.4 rbs in less than 19 minutes per game as a juco. He has grown 3 inches and added 45 pds in the last three years.He is an interesting prospect as he runs the court very well,has some bounce, and can shoot it from the 3 very well.I do not know if they have officially offered 7'4 Riley Sorn from Richland Wa.So the coaches are actively working the recruiting trail.

Seems like a Big would be a high priority. Whoever it is would have a year to adjust to college ball playing behind Franks and Chidom, Pollard and Cooper. Bigs tend to need more time than guards, probably because they are used to being bigger than most players in their leagues.

Well i hope that is true with Cooper. He has been the only real disappointment from all of the new players and recruits.

Brooks is visiting St Johns in a few weeks. Not sure if Haskins even has his ear about the Cougs, would be a monster recruit to go with Elleby. Also, I would hope that any big man who comes in next year would not be behind Cooper (unless maybe a redshirting freshman like Sorn). Cooper hasn't played despite most of our opponents having 7 footers.

Please, no more marginal JC transfers. I like Hinson and Skaggs though.
