Rolo to be compliant, per Seattle Times

I almost never ever agree, thank Inslee, and I still think his mandate is wrong, and that vaccinations, should only be forced on medical workers, etc, and on nobody else, etc, but at least a good thing about it, is that it finally got Rolo to take the Vaccine, and stop harming the program, via canceled, forfeited games, etc, and stop offending the HALF of the people that are offended, that would effect recruiting, donations, negative PR, etc.

Bout effin time.

Hope that this can all go away that offended people will forgetz not be offended anymore, and that potential harm to program will be minimized.

But still it shouldn't have taken a Inslee mandate to have gotten Rolo to either Vax up or shut up, or explain why not vax up.

Won't go away if he loses to Oregon State.

To make amends he may need to scholly up Ian Furness's kid and a few more Tracy Ford clients

Funny how its the posters who are idiots rather than the person actually responsible for creating the circus in the first place.
Also he never said he would get vaxxed - will be curious to see if he and all the other unvaxxed coaches on staff can actually get valid exemptions.

If he gets vaxed, are you going to continue to harp and bitch ad nauseum?

1. Apology tour/struggle session
2. Rolo needs to add his personal pronouns & appropriate resistance iconography to his Twitter profile.
3. Hire a BIPOC or nonbinary coach as a coordinator
4. Take a one week leave with entire team during Bye Week in early November to go ballot harvesting in King County.
5. Lose the Apple Cup with class by running the ball and apologizing in person in the UW locker room to Gov Inslee and Jimmy Lake.
6. Tweet out craft beer recommendations

For number 6, I think he is a Pacifico guy. How about a gift certificate for a 6 pack of Pacificos?

Guys, serious question -- no intended political angle or argumentation here. Does anyone know why Rolovich's situation has been relatively high-profile when there very likely are other coaches who are refusing the vaccine? E.g., is it a function of him being asked a specific question and answering it directly, WSU having relatively stringent policies, a Washington state law issue, or something else? I've been more tuned out on the details of these and other sagas lately due to work issues.

well, he snubbed the press by not showing up to media day (by zoom only), and we know how tender their feelers are. Also, he was and still is being exceedingly coy about the whole thing, which is aggravating to all involved. Honestly, I believe a lot of the media would rather report something else but he's made himself the lead story... maybe on purpose?

Simply put. There aren’t… Everyone else either got vaccinated or resigned

I may be mistaken, but I don't think Rolo necessarily snubbed the press on Media Day. He was not allowed to attend without vaccination. So it was really the conference that made the decision to exclude Rolo.

I have this sneaky feeling he will not be vaccinated, but go for an exemption. He chose his words carefully by saying he would be compliant with the Governor's mandate. He could have just as easily said "I will get vaccinated", if that was going to be the case. We'll see what happens.

Glad Cougar

He was asked, point blank today if by "follow the mandate" he means he's going to get vaccinated. He just repeated he'll "follow the mandate". Reporter followed up by asking if there was a reason he wouldn't specify and he just said "no".

And again here we are playing games with the media. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. What's behind door #3???? You're fired.
