Rolo may have a genetic predisposition or family history to heart disease and perhaps he's concerned of the myocarditis side effects.

Nothing any doctor is going mandate.

Nothing WSU can legally do about him not taking the vaccine.

Nothing anyone he has to share publicly.

Nothing the public say about it unless you changes decades of employment laws around workforce accommodations.

We obviously don't know his motivations for not getting vaccinated, but I'd bet that if he had a medical condition that precluded his receipt of the vaccine, the response would have been, "we have established policies for exemptions and we respect his decision".

What if?

He would probably just say he has a health condition and avoid all this backlash.
That's what I would have done, and presumably you too. But, if he really believes that his privacy is important, maybe he doesn't.

The point- don't take it off the table as a possibility even with all the nonsense happening.

Perhaps he has a blinding fear of needles. Or he in heavily invested into other pharma companies and wants to stand against Moderna and Pfizer.

If disclosing he has a health issue/condition, in this business, maybe fears that public disclosure may harm him in getting another job in the future.

I personally think it's a bad look and obviously this is a hard line he's drawn. But I also am open minded he may have a legit reason and hasn't disclosed that for whatever reason, including "I don't have too."

Well, by saying nothing he’s left the general public to assume he’s anti-vax. That’s his choice, but it has the potential of hammering him in recruiting. And that will hamper him more in terms of getting future jobs.

What is a "legit" reason in your eyes? Thankfully, he doesn't have to answer to you, me, Chun, or Schultz, only one...and I am sure he's good with that.

Reading these posts is truly amazing to me. Because one is in a high profile position, they should be compelled to do something just cause some think it is THE right thing to do... Truly bonkers, this world we are living in.

"legit health reason"....yes, it's his choice. Public opinion and public health advisors disagree with the anti-vax movement. That is reality.

What is bonkers is the idea that football coaches expect to get paid $3 million plus per year, with a huge payout if they suck and fans think that schools (and the fans that pay the salary) don't have a right to expect that coach to follow the rules and be good representatives of the university.....unless they get paid huge amounts of money to go the hell away.

What rule is Rolovich not following?

Gona piss off both opposite extreme sides of this issue. Probably already have.

TRUTH is BOTH opposite extreme sides are wrong, and the right is somewhere in the middle, between the 2 sides.

1. Rolo is TECHNICALLY following the rules.

Thats NOT the issue. He is harming the program.

WULF also followed the rules, and he like Rolo harmed the program.

You can harm the program even when your following the rules

2. Rolo is following the rules because its completely legal according to WSU rules, policy, not to get vaxxed. He also doesnt have to keep his mouth shut about it. He can talk about it as much as he wants according to WSU rules, policy. He doesnt have to tell why he isnt vaxxing, according to WSU rules, policy.

3. But even tho Rolo isnt breaking the rules, etc, he is HARMING THE PROGRAM BY DOING WHAT HE IS DOING.

4. The reason why he is harming the program:

A. HALF the people, players, recruits, parents, fans, students, etc, ARE GETTING OFFENDED, by what he Rolo is doing, not doing.

B. HALF getting OFFENDED BADLY affects RECRUITING, DONATIONS, ATTENDANCE at games, etc.

C. Risk of spreading sickness, causing players to miss games, getting games canceled.

D. Risking players opting out.

E. Risking RECRUITING.

5. Its Rolo's choice, right to within the rules, harm the program, nust like it was Paul Wulf's right to Harm the program, within the rules.

6. Even tho its Rolo's right, and even tho its NOT breaking the rules, IF Rolo either:

A. Gets Vaxxed

B. DOESNT TALK ABOUT IT

C. If he does let, get the word out about him not vaxxing, by not shutting up about it. If Rolo explains why.

D. If Rolo does those things, even tho he doesnt have to, according to the rules, his rights, etc, THERE WOULD NOT BE A EFFIN PROBLEM, HE WOULD NOT BE EFFIN HARMING THE PROGRAM. HE WOULD NOT OFFEND. HE WOULD NOT CAUSE PEOPLE BEING OFFENDED HURTING RECRUITING, DONATIONS, ETC.

7. ROLO IS HARMING THE PROGRAM.

8. ROLO IS MAKING TOO BIG A EFFIN DEAL OUT OF THIS.

9. ITS NOT A BIG DEAL, TO MUCH TO ASK THAT ROLO EITHER

A. VAX

B. If he doesnt Vax, NOT TALK ABOUT IT.

C. If Talk about himself not vaxing, EXPLAINING WHY.

10. Rolo hasnt done a legal official FOR CAUSE fireable offense.

11. Rolo CAN, SHOULD EVENTUALLY be fired within the next 1,2,3,4 years, for the combination of the OPTICS of this mess, and if he doesnt produce, just like Paul Wulf was fired for HARMING the PROGRAM.

12. If Rolo is fired, WSU would have to PAY THE BUY OUT IN ROLO'S CONTRACT.

13. There is a reason why SMART politicians, salesmen, celebrities, CEO's would either get Vaxxed, Shut up about it, or explain why, if they were in Rolo's shoes as WSU Head Football Coach, as they would not want to offend because they would not want to HARM THE PROGRAM, like Rolo is doing, even tho they would be within the rules, rights to not vax, not shut up about it, not explain.

14. Can the IDIOTS like Wazzucougs96, on one oppposite side extreme of saying FIRE him this second now, and the idiots on the other extreme opposite side of saying he hasnt done anything wrong, he isnt harming the program.

To those idiots on both sides.

ROLO IS ABSOLUTELY HARMING THE PROGRAM JUST LIKE PAUL WULF DID.

ANYBODY WHO DOESNT GET THAT IS A EFFIN IDIOT.

ROLO SHOULD NOT BE FIRED A SECOND FROM NOW, AND IF FIRE HIM, HIS BUY OUT WILL HAVE TO BE PAID.

CAN THE EFFIN IDIOTS ON BOTH IDIOTIC EXTREME OPPOSITE SIDES GET THIS.

uhhhh... that was Chuns response.

Once again, we've suddenly taken on this notion that collegiate and professional coaches have some sort of moral responsibility to their players. What a joke that is. My God, how many examples do we need to bring up that shows how despicably corrupt NCAA athletics are? In the 80's and 90's, programs were giving away steroids like skittles. Covering up academic and off the field abuse scandals. Coaches sleeping with interns. Vacationing on "recruiting trips" without visiting a single recruit. Encouraging booster payouts. Fighting with their schools to bend their academic standards so football and basketball players who can't spell their own names can be admitted.

Rolo is making a meat-headed decision to not get the vaccine. That's my feeling on the issue, but he's also by all accounts, a generally good guy. Married his college sweetheart who he's been with for over 20 years. A solid, involved Father. Well liked by players at his previous gigs. So I guess his role modeling depends on the lens people wish to view him through.

I agree how worried are the fans admin and coaches truly worried about the players ? However the players came here to play . Being vaccinated gives them the best chance of not forfeiting games .

The optics of this mess is already having a effect as it may have been the cause of why WSU lost a recruit to Liberty College.

But oh no Rolo hadn't harmed the program, recruiting etc

Cause.

Wrong.

Write the check.
He doesn’t need to … there is a fund at Schultz disposal if he really feels strong enough he can dip into it .

If he feels that strongly about it as well he would be sniffing around to see who would willing to pony up some cash .

Are you saying Schulz has Biggs on speed dial for fundraising?

Well we can speculate about anything we want but we have no reason to believe that a heart problem affects Rolo. I have had a heart attack and have six stents and I was told that I should get the vaccine--which I did. There has been some evidence of a very rare occurrence of heart irratation in younger males but the danger of getting Covid far exceeds the minor risk of the vaccine. For someone with heart problems (like me) the dangers of Covid far exceed any potential risk of the vaccine.

What fund are you referring to?

What fund are you referring to?
Funds that the President has at his disposal… for any purpose . Just not sure he would spend it on this . We will see how it plays out. Whether it is this year or next, no matter how much I would like him to succeed as long as those two are his boss he will be a short timer here .
