ROMAR Fired?

The other board is quoting some sources as saying Romar has been or will be fired. Perhaps a few coug fans will want him due to his recruiting prowess? Really though, it will not be a surprise if he is fired. Being a " bottom feeder" with the type of talent he has is crazy. If true,there will be a scramble to recruit the Porters.

I think his seat is scorching hot and rightfully so but if I was a mutt fan I think I would want to see how the Porter thing works out next year.

There was an old rule ADs supposedly used to decided whether to fire. If the coach can still recruit, still draw, and donors weren't pulling away then you delay firing. Romar pulled in a really good class regardless of how he pulled it off with another Porter on the way.

He has Fultz this year and they are awful though. While Porter is an even better prospect they are only going to get him for a year. Maybe that's a reason those old rules no longer apply. I would pull the cord and move on. A couple from this class are Seattle kids (not including Porter). If you get the right coach they all might stick around. I guess why delay the inevitable? The Nigel Williams-Goss interview was a huge indictment on his ability to run a program.
