This is probably the most important hire WSU will make heading into the future. There seems to be a disconnect between the BOR, the President, this new position created last year, the Pullman Campus Chancelor, and the Athletic Department, the new guy has to fix it, not sure Schulz is the problem, but he's in charge so it's his fault. WSU academics has some issues, enrollment being one. In 2019 Enrollment was about 18,500, right now it is about 14,500 or over a 20% drop, plus a 20 drop in out of state and foreign students, so revenues are a huge issue. Covid hit enrollment at many universities. costs are up, and the demographics show number of kids coming out of high school right now is dropping. They need to do a better job of selling the place or athletics won't be the only department that takes a step back.
The intern or administrative assistant running that account is probably crying. Wise move would be to just not post for awhile.
Schulz has supplanted V. Lane as the most hated Prez in my lifetime.
I think you’re understating this. He basically took what Wulff did as a head coach and somehow repeated it in what should have been a pretty easy admin job.
He’s the worst Coug of all time. A villain. Should be erased from WSU history. Every WSU frat bro should be lining up around his block to take a runny hangover dump on his doorstep.
But holding it all the way to Tri-Cities is punishing the wrong person....
It makes me think of all the investments made in new buildings around campus as well as renovations looking to be completed. But yeah, Shulz needs to go, like now.
It's too much (seriously). Basically dozens of people pillorying him to various extents. Zero supportive, positive, or neutral replies I saw.
