Saying "Cougin' it" doesn't bother me.
Does anybody think we haven't earned the reputation? Or are we just asking everyone around us to keep inconvenient facts about us to themselves?
The Cougs sucked this year, they have almost always sucked, and until further notice, they will suck again. When they stop suckin' and Cougin' it (two different things, admittedly), I'll begin hunting down offenders and demanding apologies. Until then, they're right.

I'm not saying we don't deserve criticism. Trust me, I know we have sucked in the past. But are we really the kid that walks around calling himself a nerd
just because he's a nerd?
I guess I'm just not a fan of self-depricating labels that are continually used to insure we never get away from it regardless of our record. Personally, I don't care if we have a big 'ol 0 in the W column at the end of the season, still don't need to hear that phrase ever again. It's a "legacy" of ours and it's honestly used as a joke to make fun of us Just don't like hearing it.

......Seachicken fans today (I root for them due to geographical closeness, don't live or die by them like some), and I told them that now they know what it feels like to be a Coug. Got some good chuckles. Got a bigger laugh when I said basically the same thing TO another Coug.

Regardless of what you want to call it my college experience has taught me how to deal with gut wrenching football defeats. I'm handling the Hawk loss ok.
