I just renewed my tickets today. Apparently I got a discount by doing so. My question is...

The website said that tickets after today go up by $30 per ticket. $180 bucks a seat seems like a lot. My purchase broke out like this:

Description Location Qty Price Item Fee Fac Fee Amount

--------------- --------------- --- -------- -------- -------- ----------

2015 FOOTBALL x x xx x-x 2 220.00 0.00 30.00 500.00

Does that mean renewing tomorrow it would have looked like this?

Description Location Qty Price Item Fee Fac Fee Amount

--------------- --------------- --- -------- -------- -------- ----------

2015 FOOTBALL x x xx x-x 2 400.00 0.00 30.00 860.00

That seems awful steep compared to years past. Almost $72 per ticket before CAF donations. I know it was almost 20 years ago but the 98 Rose Bowl was only $75 per ticket.

I guess $72 is on par with other schools so I'm not bitching and want the school to get what they can. Can't remember what I paid last year but I know I wasn't early. I want to say it was closer to $600 for two tickts.

I think your price would have gone up to $560.

I can guess on where you sit for that price, and $500 for two season tickets is pretty reasonable. That's $50 per ticket per game. Cheapest uw has available are "young alumni" season tickets for $198 each which will buy you upper deck nosebleeds.

Thanks SDcoug!

I just called and ordered my season tickets by phone: 1-800-GoCOUGS !

And yes, I made the savings too! Thanks, without your message, I would have waited and not gotten the discount!

Thanks!!!

I'm top of section nine. Is that what you guessed?

8 or 9, 24 or 25.

Re: Yep...thanks SD !!

I ordered mine today as well. I would have forgot and paid the extra freight. Looking forward to sunny days and wins in Martin this fall !!!

Apparently they weren't too strict with the 2/13 deadline. I went online a couple of weeks ago to see what my total would be, and it was the same as what I paid yesterday (2/16).

And the pricing SDCoug posted and dgibbons mentioned seems different than what I expected. I'm in section 26, and my price was the exact same (ignoring CAF contributions). In fact, looking at last year's map, the entire south side (except the luxury suites) up to section 10, and sections 26, 25, and 24 all are the same price. Did that change this year?

Finally, maybe someone can explain the CAF membership thing to me. I donate every year (obviously to get my tickets). Yet I get almost monthly letters asking me to join the CAF. And I get my window sticker every year. And my pin. And the rest of the goofy stuff. Do they not target their membership drives to folk who are not already members? Or do I have to explicitly join, and donations don't make me a member by default?

One other thing. There was mention of something about renewing by 3/27. I can't remember the details. Does anyone recall what renewals by then are entered to win?

I just checked my pricing, and my tickets are actually cheaper than last year by $120. That's going to be because all 3 of the "premium" games (Oregon, USC, and UW) are in even years, and there are no "premium" games in odd years.

I'm in section 9, so there's no CAF requirement...so it looks like ticket prices have not changed.

I have the same thing going on with the CAF. I make a donation too, mostly to get a parking pass, but still get solicitations approximately monthly. I don't read them all carefully, but I think the language is usually "thanks for donating, can you give us more". Actuallly, I get a huge amount of mail from them now - I'm a WSU employee, alumni association member, and season ticket holder, so I get solicitations from the alumni, athletics, and academics...and I get things at work too. And they're always sure to remind me that I can donate by payroll deduction, and not have to actually hassle with writing a check.

I'm in section 9 and there is a CAF requirement of $50 per ticket for me. Maybe it's just the upper section or possibly you never notice it when buying tickets as you've alre satisfied the requirement

There's some contradictory information out there. The ticket office's pricing page shows no CAF requirement for Section 9, but if you pull up the seating map, it shows that there's a $50/seat requirement for the upper rows - I think it's row 28 and above.

I'm a little lower, and on the aisle. I'm pretty happy with my seats, so I'd rather use my CAF contribution to improve my parking space. Using the lot by Cleveland/Daggy is much nicer than hiking from Chief Joe like I used to do.

I didn't think they were mutually exclusive. I upped my CAF contribution to get better seats, and along with it I got an A permit. I don't think it is an either/or situation.
