I cannot believe Noah is Guy Williams son. I just read his bio, and learned this today. Guy Williams was in my Speech class at Daggy Hall, as we became good acquaintances. Guy Williams, Aaron Haskins, and Craig Ehlo were my favs under Raveling. Today I learn that Noah is Guy's son, from O'Dea HS, Seattle.
.
That's just crazy.

BTW, Aaron Haskins played saxophone in our wedding, as we became great friends during the 90's. Aaron passed away in 2009 at the age of 49. As many may know, Aaron's brother, Ed Haskins became assistant coach under Ernie Kent. Aaron's wife, Cheryl, remains a die hard COUG...

What a small world.

Something I’ve figured out with my kids and youth sports. The 3 most important characteristics to determine success are:
1. Genetics
2 Genetics
3 Genetics

Noah checks all 3 boxes.

No question. Passion and work-ethic are big as well. They don't always follow with the genes.

Guy Williams has been my comparison point for Noah since last year. Different players but something about the way they move and the shot making ability that's come out this year. It's probably not a good idea to make a comparison to probably the most talented player in Cougar history but it still seems there to me.

Noah is on par with is dad on defense, its like watching a mirror image. They both demonstrate that they are/were students of the game. Offensively, remember Guy's offensive skills developed overtime. He did not enter college, as a #1 option. Noah, is like his dad in that regard and the improvement is obvious. Major difference is on the athletic side, 6'9" vs 6'5." Noah, in WSU terms is very athletic, but Guy was off the charts, needing to avoid hitting his head on the backboard on alley oops hops. But Noah has the advantage of the three point line and the shot clock, so size and hops aren't the advantage they were, when big men were dominant.

The way Noah moves he reminds me of his dad. Both were smooth. The way Noah contributes to his team winning, he reminds me of Ehlo. Noah is great on D and good on offense. He rarely does anything foolish that hurts his team.
