Brand x has an interview with coach about new guys and specifically the point guards. Very interesting that Darling is mentioned with Powell as getting the most time at point. Expected Powell to start but I thought Rice would be the primary backup and he was not even mentioned

Houinsou and Mullin ("point forward") mentioned as well. Earlier this summer Smith spoke about "needing Rice to score". Other than potentially Rice, sounds like the point is still open. My bet is it's Powell's to lose with Houinsou and Darling needing to prove themselves on the court. Since Mullin was described as a point-forward, maybe more as a half-court option at times?

Hoping chemistry improves along with better decisions even with PG still potentially up in the air.

I have a feeling this team might be very different than what we’ve seen from Smith teams in the past. No more small guards running the show or living and or dying based on their production. I think this team can score on all three levels, long range, mid range and inside. Should be interesting year!

Hopefully they can figure it out faster than they did last year. Some early inexplicable losses last probably cost us a spot in the dance.

OOC didn't help but it seemed like we were still on the bubble before dropping 5 straight to Arizona, ASU, Oregon, SC, and UCLA late in the season.

We could easily end up with a lineup that goes 6'6", 6'6", 6'5, 6'11", 6'10" or even taller if Jakimovski starts at a wing. My concern is how the defense shakes out and whether we are still mostly man.

Stay healthy.
