Just led Kansas to its first October win since 2009. Man. Congrats to him and the Jayhawks. This weekend is crazy. Might take a while to find the last time USC, UCLA, UW, Stanford, and UO ALL lost on the same weekend. What did Leach and Claeys say about depth in this league? It's showing itself. Happy Halloween, favorites

Good for him. He did have division one talent. Just not the talent to be great at a big school.

Even though he hasn't had the opportunity to win a lot of games there, it's good to see him have some fun at times. I'm amazed at how terrible TCU has been this year. They are a last second field goal away from being 0-6 in their last six games.

Yeah I can't remember a Gary Patterson team that struggled as badly as this one is

I’m happy for him. Kansas may sneak into a bowl game this season.

edit: scratch that. they still have Iowa St., Oklahoma, and Texas on their remaining schedule.

Ummmmmm.....No. Not only no, but hell no. They just beat a TCU team that's in the midst of a terrible season by their standards but the Jayhawks had lost their prior four games by just over three touchdowns per outing. They have Iowa State this week, who is arguably the best 4-3 team in the country, then at KSU, who is struggling a little but has beaten KU nine times in a row by an average score of 42-14, they then have to play at Oklahoma, who is going to beat them so bad their mamas cry and then they finish the season with Texas, who lost this week but will undoubtedly win by three touchdowns against the Jayhawks. If they had KSU at home, I'd say that they would have a shot at that game. Iowa State managed to lose to TCU this year before the Horned Frogs knew that they sucked, but outside of that, the Cyclones have been having a great season. In their last three games, they've beaten teams with a combined record 16-4 against the other teams on their respective schedules. Cyclones are freakin' solid.

I'm glad to see Bender have a fun week, but there is no way on God's green earth that KU makes a bowl game this year. Frankly, it will be a miracle if they win another game. They have about the same chances of making a bowl game as the Beavers do this week and that falls into Dumb and Dumber levels of chance. It could happen, but it's thin and isn't going to happen.
