I just heard that "Roadhouse" is being remade with Rhonda Rousey playing the Patrick Swayze role of Dalton. Thoughts? I personally find Rousey annoying and don't like this.

I don't know about that one… Hard to imagine that movie succeeding… When a movie hit "cult classic" status, redu's will only look poor, IMHO.

But another spin-off, and not to hijack your initial post… Did you hear about the spin off of the Rocky movies that will be released in Nov. called, "Creed"? Hadn't until this week! Looks damm good.

No, not hijacking it at all. It was just another subject other than the obvious one's. I had not heard about that. That is a more interesting movie than Rousey playing Dalton

"It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can TAKE a hit and keep moving forward."

"See this guy, here? That's the toughest opponent you're ever gonna have to face. I believe that true in the ring and I believe that's true in life. Now show me something."

Without even meaning to, pretty good quotes from that trailer that might be applicable to our team right now… All mental, IMHO.

I like movies. But, I tend to go to a lot of movies, then I do not go to any for months. Rinse, repeat. I agree that it is applicable to our team. I wish the game weren't on ESPNU, as I don't get that channel.

I live out in the boonies. I rarely go to movies. It better be a movie that has serious meaning and depth for me to give a rip. Think the last movie I watched was American Sniper… Couldn't even tell you what I saw prior to that. I go years between going to the Theatre. So much crap out there.

I think the game is going to be a great one. I have U so it'll be fun for the family to gather round. We were initially going to take a trip to NYC for a week, watch some Yankee ball and go to this game but schedules and work prevented it… So I'll be watching with the feeling of, "I should be there". I'm still pretty stoked about this season… We'll see.

So how are you going to keep tabs on the game? Internet? Head out to a bar or something? Wait for updates here?

As always, GO COUGS.

Terrible idea. "Pain don't hurt," is a line reserved in the annals of time for only Mr. Swayze...

Probably listen to Matt Chazanow on the radio for at least the first quarter, as I will still probably be in the gym. From there, it depends on how the game is playing out whether I find a bar with my stinky, but pumped, self.

Glad it is not only me that thinks this is terrible. "Ghost" may have to haunt that set.

Who plays Wade Garrett? One of the best 'guilty pleasure' movies in my book. So many good lines.

I don't know about this. Why do they remake everything. Can't they just let classics be classics or come up with some new stuff?

Pure sacrilege. You just don't tinker with Roadhouse.
And Rousey would not give a Rousing performance.

Perhaps the one benefit of the last 8-10 years or so of WSU football has been some killer workouts on Saturdays. Can really push around some iron (relative to norms) after that mix of frustration and anger resulting from the bad football we've often seen.
