Spencer Pettit K to visit

As first reported by BR on twitter and numerous other twitters too numerous to credit ,Spencer Pettit from Clacier Peak Washington will be visiting this weekend. Pettit is rated as the 8 th best kicker Nationally by Chris Sailer Kicking. Pettit has a 53 yarder to his credit and made 5/6 from within 50 yards this year. The one kick was blocked. He is quoted as saying "I'll take the first PAC 12 offer i get.".However Leach is known for not giving out scholarships to kickers. He has already allotted one to Abramo this year. So one would think that a preferred walkon invitation will be extended with a chance to earn a scholie.Good luck to the young man

It's a preferred walk-on offer. He visited Nevada last weekend, which is also a preferred walk-on offer, I believe. Eastern Washington has apparently offered him a scholarship.

Honestly, if a PWO comes in and blows Abramo away, he'll get that scholarship in a year anyways, and you can compete from level ground. There's a lot worse options for a kid.

The young man has his heart set on playing in the PAC 12. So he will be a coug.Maybe the posters who want Washington HS products will be appeased.
