Story: WSU, Kent part ways after school agrees to pay him in full

I salute this move. We could've all suffered through one more year for the sake of the finances, and suffered more damage to the program for the same end result, but this is the right decision. Things might not get better if the next hire goes badly, but they won't get much worse, and the contract shouldn't be nearly as self-destructive to the athletic department. Chun should send Moos an invoice.

Chun should sacrifice part of his bloated salary. We will see what happens . His move was perhaps precipitated by personal anger at not being able to persuade EK to accept his terms of surrender. This will either be a boon to basketball or bury it further as he will be essentially paying a coach more than 2.6 million dollars a year over the next three years.I personally see Chun out after two more years.

He started on one coach, revered the next even more marginal coach, and now spouts at the AD. Ernie was a nice guy but a horrible coach who lost his ability while at Oregon. We paid him twice as much as Bone for much less output. Time to go young and vibrant.

Did you catch Chun boning your wife? Are you related to Ernie? We all know that this is not an ideal situation, but you seem to be awfully wrapped up in trying to find the absolutely most negative take on everything about this.

This or the narrative of WSU being broke was fugazi and Kent's time was up.

Based on WSU tradition of firing one coach a year, it will let your beloved baseball staff off the hook.
