Texas Tech retains interim head coach as OC / QB coach

They hired a head coach from outside the program but retained the interim head coach, Sonny Cumbie, as OC and QB coach. Tech has played pretty well under Cumbie, including a nice win over Iowa State. Sorry… I wasn’t clear. Was merely trying to say that retirement didn’t stop Erickson from coaching at Utah. I feel he retired over and over again. I may have it wrong. Regardless, a little thing like retirement shouldn’t stop Tedford from jumping back in the game.

All good. His was health related to his heart, so I didn't expect him to return, but glad he's feeling good enough to get back into it. I didn't realize he was just 60.
