The Athletic tabs Kamie their Coach of the Year. No brainer in my book given what she's accomplished in a very short period of time at a school that didn't have any history, etc.

In the comment section there was a comment a Don D. that wasn't surprising but good to see.

Since I attend a lot of the Pac 12 games here in Tucson, AZ, as a former college coach I enjoy getting to the arena early to watch the pregame warmups. My seats are right behind the opposition's bench. Without question Washington State is the most disciplined and organized team of all the Pac 12 teams I observed. Also, their chemistry is right at the top. Player improvement over the course of the year is exceptional, especially Bella Murekatete in the post and Astera Tuhina at the guard spot. As well, Ethridge uses her assistant coaches well, they are an active part of the coaching effort. Glad to see your choice of Kamie Ethridge.

Yeah, generally true but CL-W plays like a 5-star. I don't know which programs, but she apparently had plenty of P6 offers. I don't believe international recruits get rated.

Generally though, it is essentially true. Only player rated 5-star was Channelle Molina.

I remember Coach Ethridge said they had recruited CL-W to join her sister at Northern Colorado, but she knew that CL-W was too good and highly recruited to end up there. But, once Coach Ethridge got the Cougar job, she thought she might have a chance because WSU is a P5 school. Thankfully, CL-W said yes.
