WSU isn't going to take any FCS teams outside of maybe taking NDSU, any more then how WSU won't go FCS, Big Sky.

WSU will either

1. Add SDSU, SMU, UNLV, Tulane, Memphis, Rice, BSU, Fresno St, CSU, Utah State, Air force, Wyoming, New Mexico, New Mexico St, NDSU to Stanford, Cal, WSU, Ore St, under, on the PAC X brand.

2. Joins either MWC, Sun Belt, Conference USA, AAC, etc.

3. Joins Big 12, or ACC

4. If none of that pans out, then goes independent, for 1,2,3 year(s), and gets it's own TV contract as Per Darling of ESPN, with a Schedule of Big 12, ACC, MWC, teams.

5. If none of that pans out, then making a temporary arrangement to temporarily join the Big Sky FCS conference for 1 football season, while it works like Hell to join a NON FCS conference, MWC, Sun Belt, Conference USA, AAC, ACC, Big 12, etc.

Since NON FCS Sun Belt took Idaho, there is no way that WSU PERMANENTLY ends up in a FCS conference for years.

And when Idaho has to switch conferences, they didn't have to go back down to FCS at that time, and only went back down to FCS, YEARS later, after that.

And when WAC, SWAC broke up, and teams like TCU, SMU, Rice, etc, got left behind, none of them formed or joined a FCS conference.

And NO, NONE, ETC, P5,6,7, MAJOR BCS CONFERENCE team has gone back down to the FCS, in the Whole Entire History of College Sports, College Football.

And WSU won't be the first team or any P5,6,7 MAJOR BCS CONFERENCE team to go down to FCS.

Anybody that thinks WSU is going down to FCS either temporarily or permanently, is STUPIDLY FULL OF SHIT, ITS NOT HAPPENING, GET THAT THRU YOUR RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH ITS HEAD CUT OFF HEAD.
