The latest on the new P12 media rights offer.

The source is Jason Scheer, last week he said the Big 12 would soon become a JUCO conference, HE comes out with articles, stories and podcasts to draw attention to himself. So who knows what the offer is, of course ESPN is going to start low, it's like any negotiation, and ESPN isn't the only game in town.. The pac 12 needs to look at other networks as well, and perhaps have multiple contracts with the various networks. The NFL is on ESPN. ABC, Fox, NBC and CBS, and now Amazon. College football gets ratings, every network needs ratings and has a hole in the normal programing lineup, if the powers to be would look closely at the various options there will be more $ out there.

Wish I could have provided better news than this. Still hope everything does eventually work out for the Big Cats.
I don't think you do, you've been the first to come post negative rumors about the P12 for the past 2 weeks and seem to take pleasure in trying to troll this board.

OK then I just won't post any more articles here. Can't tell fact from rumors anymore. Still hope everything DOES eventually work out the best for the Big Cats.

The Big10 has repeatedly stated that any other Pac-12 team does not bring enough monetary value to the Big 10. So, IF that is true ( & money does/is talking) then the ducks, dogs, tree and bears stay put as they are now. Unless they decide to bolt to the Big 12. I don’t see the Pas-12 surviving this in the long rung. Very disheartening as CF has always been my favorite sport.

I respectively disagree from your viewpoint. President Schultz is not a liar, therefore I am trusting that he's telling the truth: "It’s too preliminary to say at this point, but we fully expect (the media payout for Pac-12 schools) to be substantially more than we’re getting right now."

President Schultz is not a liar. The Pac-10 will survive and ESPN needs us just as much as we need them.

Bingo. TX is the moneymaker in the B12. Most of Texas will be following SEC w them gone. PAC12 gonna be fine. Just takes someone with some vision to understand how to take advantage of the opportunity that’s there geographically. There are unique characteristics about the conference that can be capitalized on.

Might not be a liar but he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He wasn't able to navigate the politics of Kansas and fled to Pullman. I doubt he's going to navigate this mess either. Wonder where he lands next.

Interesting...

How do you know that?
