Is to merge with the Mtn West. Whether they dissolve and join the Pac-16, or we just go hat in hand and beg them to take us, Big 10 and Big 12 ain't happening. This ACC talk is complete BS. F it. No more Apple Cup, no more Oregon, if OSU wants to come with us that's good. Stanford and Cal, they can do what they gotta do. $5 sez they will be in the Big 10 in a week.

Most likely is WSU + top MWC + top AAC. It is likely big12 poaches SDSU as soon as they become free, which will be when they dissolve their conference to combine with Pac. Whoever is left in Pac in 2024 is due over 400 million so there is obvious value plus the network. Outside shot is big12 but very small.

The only problem is other, better short-term options, require time for planning and exit from other universities.

We either get 4 schools in the Pac-12 right away....or, join with the MWC.

I have no idea. Probably use it to buy new members or buy our way in membership, and pay down debts. Knowing him though they’ll probably siphon it for an equity, diversity, and genders center.

Right now its looking like 4 schools will get that $400.... $100 mil per isn't bad. Why not go independent for a season, retaining the rights to the PAC12 brand and see how well we stack up on our own? I think we could get some interesting matchups and sell the media rights off to the highest bidder.
