The Portland state game, perhaps a blessing in disguise.

When you are surrounded by the "enemy" on all sides, and knowing in your heart, you can win this thing, it bonds people regardless of petty issues, from the coaches on down.

There is room for plenty of improvement in all three facets of the game, particularly special teams, but this team had a sack when they most needed it.

They came to play their ass off all four quarters after being backed into a corner by everyone around them. They galvanized as a team today in my opinion. I hope it continues.

Good, well-stated points. I'd much rather have had the Portland State game be a disaster that WSU somehow won by some fluke, but with the media and fans still criticizing the team and allowing it to come together, because I think that loss is going to really hurt as the season goes on and we look at bowl eligibility (or, at least, trying to have a better record). Losing the damn thing has a lot of "value," though, in that it definitely was the team against the world this week.

No...hell no...ask any coach about that theory and you're bound to get an earful.

They are going to chase PSU the rest of the season. Losing was not a blessing in any way shape or form. Somehow manage a win and rebound then ok but that's about it. Beating Rutger's is a step in the right direction.

Agree 100%. They OP is just crazy talk. No offense to that person.

That loss may very well end up costing a bowl game. We'll see.

Lipstick on a pig is still a pig (of a loss).

Hear what you're saying, but the PSU loss was not a blessing. Bowl eligibility, fan interest suffered a setback last weekend. Nice to see us bounce back today.
